It's tough to critique something so abstract. I don't really care for how pear-shaped the body is on the second one though. :p

Yea, it was a style I've never really tried before.  As much as I don't really care for it either, it is the exact style of Picasso and actually not too terrible considering.  The man is over-rated.  Funky shapes and plane colors don't add up to much.

Hurray.

 

I actually did have the cape darker at first (the normal tone) but there was just so little contrast between the throne and it after shading.

I had free time tonight, so I made myself a new desktop thing.  OoOoOo... but what is it?  Could it be something inspired from a certain secret project I may announce soon?  Erm... well, maybe.  You'll just have to wait and see.  The answer most likely being yes, by the way.
