I have a project hosted at a costom domain, destructivality.com

 

I have been using the dyndns.com service to map my home Dynamic IP address to a URL.

 

I now however have a Static IP address, and therefore no longer need to use the DynDNS service

 

I was wondering if it is possible to map a subdomain, such as home.destructivality.com to my home IP address, and how I would do that.

 

 

Since my domain is hosted here, I was thinking this is the first place I should ask.

Do you have access to cPanel?

Yes. But I hardly know how to use it all, if in can be done through there, I'd need instructions.

CPanel is pretty much straightforward.

 

There is a section there called Domains. If your subdomain home.destructivality.com was not created yet, create it at the Subdomain section. Then, at the right side, you have the Simple and Advanced DNS Zone. Any of them will do the work for you. Just choose the one you feel more confortable to work with. If you don't feel confortable with any of them, use the Redirects to do the redirection to your home IP.
