I actually did it for fun, but it does indeed retain some scientific accuracy.
I tried to picture the neutrophil's attack on a few pathogenic rod cells.

@Pas: This plague game looks nice, but quite dull. I saw someone playing it on IOS if I recall correctly. Must give it a try on PC though.
@Math and Ren> I'll try to get some High Res render. The thing is i'm travelling and the computer here doesn't have the power mine has. 
It was really fun to create such scene and quite a challenge, since I couldn't find similar works/tutorials around. Now that I got the hang on this quite of rendering, I might try some similar biological scenes in the future.

Just take a photograph of the actual organism? Then it would be as high res as you want.
