So... Progress on what I never thought I would ever accomplish again; art.

 

Please forgive the crappy phone picture. It's better in real life, and especially with a good scan and some minor photo edits to professionalize it.

 

Also... could an admin please restore my original art topic and merge this post into it? (minus this statement) I deleted it in a fit of drunken immaturity.

You have really nice handwriting. Also, another brilliant drawing, but since we already know how good you are at this, it's a rather redundant statement.

It reminds me of a Hellenistic Aphrodite.  The way the hair is placed, anyway.

Irene, you're not the first person to say I have good handwriting.. Which I actually continue to find surprising. I have always felt it to be very inconsistent and sloppy. But such is not really properly reflected with my own opinion. 

 

It's quite a shame that my old topic is lost.. Though, the artwork is not so it isn't drastic. I may compile a portfolio of sorts one of these days.

I'm still not completely happy with the right side, but eh.. I'm willing to move on for the sake of impulse and completion. I owe her this piece, and it is selfish of me to reject it for my own quirks.

During my 28 hour travel adventure, I intend to complete this piece. I could not think of a better time to finish my possible final portrait.

 

I do not foresee any incentive to do more in the future, but who knows.

I love the accompanying message. It's quite heartfelt.

 

But in terms of the art itself, I have only a little problem, in the slight overpronunciation of the cheekbones.

I should put a little bit more uniformity in the skin tones. I have to be delicate though so as to not compromise definition.

So it's as finished as it will ever get I think. The image quality is bad, and I blurred out the writing because it was originally posted on Facebook and I didn't want everyone to know about Xiangyun.

 

Anyways, enjoy or bash as desired. I'm happy with it, but I don't think it is nearly as good as my work of days old.

I love it, but unfortunately it doesn't really hold up to the expectations set by your signature sketch. Regardless, it is exceptional work.

Alright so, I'm apparently really bad at hair and I struggled with this part for HOURS.. Not too happy with it, but anyway here is the first piece I've done in oh... 7 years or so.

Well, I have set my sights upon a challenge. New styles, a body structure that I've never attempted before, and a level of detail that is beyond anything I've ever produced. May I present "Deathmarch and Chill" Geralt, from the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
