Hey team,

Long story short, I really enjoyed modding the V1.1 of your mod for my own purposes. Over the years ive upgraded to a much better pc and just paid 20 bucks for the steam version of the game. Love this so much and wanted to start modding again from your teams work. However I cant seem to get the 1.2 installed. Funny enough Ive read mention of an installer for this version however im just not coming across it anywhere, no exes anywhere in your files once extracted. Also to note im using win7 extractor if that makes an significant difference. No extraction errors either, nothing out of the normal here. So maybe a bit of help. I feel like such an ass for asking since its not mentioned in the read me or manual provided. Thanks again.

Just realized the dl file is an exe, not sure why its not showing as a exe when I see it in my dir. Any software suggestions? ill google in the mean time

Umm...v1.2 should have been a .exe download. There should be no extraction required.

it is an exe my friend but it doesn't like open like my other exes do. Like I said I realized that it was an exe a few minutes ago. Im using windows 8, guessing this is kinda whats throwing a wrench into the process. I was trying to locate windows installer or install shield I think its called. Not sure where that's located in the OS. trying a new download location from filefront in the meen time

It should just be an executable installer that you can run, pick an install path, and it'll do the rest. I'm not sure if it works with Windows 8 though, haven't had the opportunity to test it myself.

its ok bob was a different v 1.2 file, the exe was on filefront. Glad to see the team active with the player base. now im confused on properly installing this with a copy through steam, it would appear the team has gone out of the way to setup the install for steam but im not sure if im doing everything properly. I want to be sure the install path is correct, it by default when I select the steam install, wants to install to the vanilla EAW dir, then im not sure where to insert the mod path info.

The mod path info needs to go in the Steam shortcut to the game; you have to modify the launch parameters in the shortcut properties box.

Well this was a first for steam using launch options. I found that and entered the proper text that that the installer tells me. letter for letter but no dice. so I just wanna be sure ive got the right install dir for the mod, I have it in "...."/SWEAW/mods/Pr.

Threw in this attachment, hope it helps, getting late for tonight guess im gonna work on this tomorrow night.

Seems correct. Does it work? If not, you may need to put the mod into the forces of corruption part of the empire at war gold pack. Sorry I can't be more help. I believe there are threads around about steam installs though.
