these "rules" are ridiculous.
Quite the opposite, however.... I perhaps should have stated that I am referring to Zero Hour only as that's all I play. This standard set of gameplay is common to the degree that 90% of games are played in either manner. Pro is simply no rules, so gives the freedom of play, however, Aurora and Super Weapons are a still a no. 2 features that ruin the gameplay, hence why it's so standard.
Noob is the most common. Before it was shutdown on gamespy, this is how most people have played for the last 10 years of which I have played throughout. It's not for noobs only, but is referred to as the rules?!
It's not me dictating anything, it's the evolution of the game and it's seasoned players. The issue is that players who are not familiar, perhaps 1 out of 6 players in a game, are not aware of what the exact rule plays are (especially on GameRanger) and therefore there is a consistent process of repeating to everyone what they are. It just gets tedious and would be helpful I thought as a simple note to help those who are new and unfamiliar.
You don't have to play with any rules at all, I agree, and that's not what I'm voicing, but the games that put this in the title, should be following a standard set. From so many years of play, it's a much better way of playing when everyone conforms to the simple fact of don't build Auroras, or 100 demo bikes. Stupid things that just make people quit early.
Especially now that there's no ranking, the game play is so terrible I've had to stop playing until it comes back on. Nobody cares, people are just quitting after 1 minute, or attacking their own team for fun, etc, that because you can just make a new account and have stats at 0/0 then who gives a sh**. Most people aren't honest players like me.
Thank goodness the new GenTools fixed the previous GenTools where the whole world cheated as the game nearly fell to it's death there. Players controlling other players army was ridiculous. Anyway, I just hope these guys from Revora can keep the game alive as it's very close to being dead in the water.
