I´ve been having this really interesting problem, so I hope I could find help here.

I can connect to Zero Hour lobby normally, and all the players load. Then it goes to the blue progress bar screen and loads only my progress. The weirdest thing is that when the game starts, I can hear music and the voice of my units, but I cannot move anything or do anything. I cannot even exit game normally, I need to ctrl alt del back to windows. And I dont even get disconnection menu.

Skirmish works just fine.

I have tried different options.ini files, uninstalling, restarting, ports are open like they should etc. Running as administrator... I have spent around 6 hours trying to fix this, but nothing works. I was able to play 2 games with revora before this started.

Im using Vista business premium, and before everything has worked just fine. Never before I havent had any problems with connecting or anything.

Could someone give any advice so I get back online..?

Raisu, can you give us a very specific time and date when this error occured? Or perhaps you can reproduce it and note down the exact time it occured?

Ok, glad to find some interest for my problem, I´m on vacation, and whats the point to be on vacation if Gene doesnt work... :smile2ap:

I just reproduced the problem, 15:48 +2:00 GMT (21.7.14). No other games starting near this one.

The problem started for me around three days ago, without me making any changes on my settings or anything. When Revora started, everything was working for me even without any port modifications. This started by itself somehow. I almost spent 1000€ for a new computer because of this.

That's great, thanks. This way we can accurately pinpoint the issue in our logs and see what causes it.

Any update on this yet?

I did a new try for you to check at 15:25:20 +2:00 GMT, 22.7.2014, Raisu vs. Estella. Still the same, I need to ctrl alt del my way out of the game. My bar loads, no disconnection menu etc...

Same problem for me. Sometimes it works, other times I wait for the countdown to appear on the screen when another player doesn't connect but no countdown comes on. Hit "esc" and try to exit but nothing happens. I have to go to the task manager and close the program.

Solution:

Run game as admin and Windows XP SP3 compatibility.

I always run as admin. And always before my ZH has worked without any problems in my Vista. If I run in any compatibility mode, it says insert correct cd-rom. Yes its original cd, no cracks.

You must enable compatibility mode to get rid of the issue. With Insert CD Rom, get a no-cd generals.exe
