That's one sweaty orc.

 

But I like it.  Maybe not the lips, though... I would expect them to show a bit more character, and not look so... human'y.

Honestly I need to work more on my lip-sculpting, you can see the... roughness of it.

You like making dehydrated, nasty creatures.  And quite often, they aren't even conceived with much of a lip at all.  It's more like a mass of uneven, overlapping, wrinkled skin.  I could see this orc with a clumsy, crooked over-bite.  And maybe with some large teeth barely showing.  That also would give a bit of character, which is what your pieces often lack.

Actually I like how it's more elven than orc. =D In Lord of the Rings it was considered that the orcs were corrupted elves (through torture) (hence their apparent longevity). I see this as one of the first elf/orcs.

Of course, that what I was going for! ... that's what I intended ... right guys? ... okay, maybe not ... well, I tried.

If you were actually going for some weird Tolkien-Darwinism thing, then I probably would have smacked you.

So where did Sauron get all of these elves then?

Oh no he's pretty clear on that. Morgoth lured them away from their kin soon after their awakening at Cuivienen and then throughout the Years of the Trees and the early First Age. 

 

But then, in later letters he wrote that the idea of orcs being corrupted elves wasn't very good and they were probably corrupted men instead.

Yeah, it doesn't matter how much corruption and torture was used on the elves, I just can't believe that. Mostly because the Elves are supposed to be the first children of Iluvatar and have all elven grace and that stuff. Men are really a lot more susceptible to this sort of thing.

Right... but taking Eru's creations and corrupting them was the one thing Morgoth was really, really good at.

Yeah... Balrog and Sauron spring to mind

And, if you follow that through, other characters were marred or, in a sense, corrupted, like Fëanor and for Sauron, there was Gollum and the Nazgul. The greatest weapons Sauron and Morgoth had were the most proud and strong men, who were unfortunately too proud to understand their own weaknesses.
