My progress bar loads, but my friend's doesn't. When the game starts, disconnect dialog boxes for both of us. Every single game, no matter who hosts.

I've read all the support threads and I can't figure this one out:

No router involved (bypassed router for both computers). No firewall involved (disabled completely).

Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and Origin Ultimate Collection installations (unique serial numbers) for each.

Any ideas? I've been troubleshooting this for 3 days. At least 15 plus full uninstalls and reinstalls. Tried fixing options.ini, deleting Data folder and creating a new system account. I've read every thread on this problem going back to 2006.

I seriously love this game. Haven't played it in almost 10 years and I was super sad to see the Generals 2 game get shut down.

Any help is very much appreciated.

What do you mean by no router involved? Do you both connect to the internet from the same place? Does it work if only one of you tries to connect?

- I have trouble connecting to people online.

Solution 1: If you own these games through The Ultimate Collection bundle, DOWNLOAD THIS to prevent connection issues to people that don't have The Ultimate Collection.

I already use the fixed launchers for people with Origin Ultimate Collection.

Even when I try to connect with any games, one or more people's progress bars doesn't load. I'm not sure if this is my fault but I haven't had a game not disconnect yet.

Tell us more details about your router/network configuration.

I'm on the router's DMZ. I also tried bypassing the router and plugging in directly to my ISP. Same problem in every instance: my progress bar loads, other person's doesn't. Bigger games might have 4 other players progress bars load, but somebody's doesn't.

With Origin Ultimate Collection installation, Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode and run as admin is the default. I don't think the game runs any other way. I enter my admin password every time the game launches.
