Installer asking for password

This isn't for me it is for a friend. He is on windows 8. I have online running fine now but i didn't have this problem so i thought i would ask to help him out.

I HAVE READ THE HOW-TO THREAD

My friend has been going through getting C&C: Online running and he has come to downloading the client. After downloading it and attempting to run the installer a password is asked for. I understand this may not be an issue with the client but can i get suggestions about where this password may be coming from?

Do you mean the C&C:Online installer requires a password?

Where was it downloaded from?

Yes. It was downloaded from the C&C Online website. Whenever he tries to run the installer before running a password dialog appears.

He has to be admin to install the launcher.

What OS is that? If it's XP it could be asking for the administrator password. Anyway, I thought I saw you on line a minute ago, so maybe you figured it out?
