Spider robot - armed with dual armour piercing cannons. Effective vs tanks and structures. Weak vs infantry. It is replacement for usual Crusader tank, but it is not quite equal to it. It has slightly less armour and speed, but brings more damage and can crawl cliffs. Cost is the same - $800 per unit.

Stormtrooper - armed with automatic cannons. Effective vs infantry. Can fire at aircrafts.

Cyborg - just improoved ranger. Resistant to poisons and radiation; has more vitality and more powerfull assault rifle.

You sly devil, you didn't mention the cyborg.

Thats cool. I'm also glad your using the spider too. I thaught you might, considering how much work you put into it.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Soul 2.4

Background process. Has something to do with some activity going on somewhere. Sorting junkmail, I think. No value or interest. Doesn't do much except hog resource.

These units look awesome. Better than most of the other stuff.

But when I see it correctly the legs of the spider robot are wrong blended. They need to be "Alpha Test", not "Alpha Blend" shader. This will give em sharper edges

...One of my favorite things from contra 4 was the tank general's gauss cannons. they were so awesome, and nearly matched the retaliator, without having to reload.

Maybe you could change the color of the gauss bullets from orange to blue, and add them to the spider, or storm trooper. hell, add em to the ranger for all I care.

Still, really great stuff. I especially love the spider. can't wait to start blowing stuff up with it.
