Thrall Brood
Notes: Builder/Repairer. has only melee attack with daggers which they stab down with instead of slashing like the Chaos counterpart. They look like Chaos Cultists without the rack on their back, the laspistol, the chaos star, chaos parchment, and a mixture of unhelmeted heads from IG generals/IG sergeants/NPC civilians. They might have a slight blue or mauve pallor to their skin. With research, they can upgrade a number of specialized ranged weapons. Upgrade: Triplex-Pattern Lasgun (a more powerful variant of the lagun which quickly fires a punishing las fire spread, but must stop firing completely for a while. During the long cooldown, the squad must close to melee, retreat, or stand in place taking damage). Upgrade Mining Lascutter (antivehilce/antibuilding. looks like a really bulky lasgun like device, held like a cultist grenade launcher. It rapidly fires a brighter version of the Kasrkin lasgun beam. Its range is so short it is practically melee)
Voice: sounds like humans with the ominous voice like the stereotypical cultist with mindless devotion.
-Model: necromunda gangers. They might have a slight blue or mauve pallor to their skin.
-Gameplay: With research, they can upgrade a number of specialized ranged weapons. Upgrade: Grox Gun (a big slow shotgun). Upgrade Plate Cutter (antivehilce/antibuilding. like a really bulky lasgun like device. It rapidly fires a brighter version of the Kasrkin lasgun beam at such short range that it is practically melee). Their build animation is holding a welding stick thing like IG Guardsmen do a grenade launch that gives off sparks as the guys weld metal

Notes: Regular genestealer, increases morale and durability of the squad
- Voice: normal genestealer vocals.
-Gameplay: Regular genestealer, increases morale and durability of the squad.

Drone Squad (Drone Brood)
Notes: a squad of unnaturally tough randomized regular civilians and tyranid spore mines (though same stats no matter the model). Unbreakable. Each member attacks by separately exploding in close combat to do splash damage, like the spore mines from DoW II. The members of squad themselves take no damage from the explosions. Cannot capture
-Voice: the sound of the whole crowd doing a synchronized tuneless humming, as if they’re brainwashed and on some sort of narcotic.
-Model: A squad of randomized regular civilians and tyranid spore mines
-Gameplay: Each unit is unnaturally tough, with same stats no matter which the model is a guy or a spore mine. Unbreakable. Each member attacks by separately exploding in close combat to do splash damage to enemies, like the spore mines from DoW II. The members of squad themselves take no damage from the explosions. Cannot capture.

Drone Squad Sergeant (Primaci)
Notes: A hybrid who looks just the Magus without the crazy collar, holding a pole with a dead Confessor head on it. If a player keeps him alive even after all the other members of the squad have exploded, then the squad can eventually reinforce back to full. Requires T2
-Voice: just the same as the humming as the rest of the Drone Brood.
-Model: A hybrid who looks just like the Magus without the crazy collar, holding a pole with a dead Confessor head on it.
-Gameplay: Not harmed by splash damage from the rest of the Drone Brood. If a player keeps him alive even after all the other members of the squad have exploded, then the squad can eventually reinforce back to full. Requires T2

Brood Brothers/Comrades (Brood Brothers Squad)
Notes: IG Imperial Guardsmen with strange organic looking swirly camo-patterns on their flak armor, cultist robes below their upper body armor, welding lasguns with sawed off barrels, and with a piece of cloth covering their lower face like ninjas. They are the same as IG guardsmen in stats. At T1, they can upgrade with 1 grenade launcher, 2 grenade launchers at T2, 3 grenade launchers at T3 and 5 at T4.
-Voice: like sneaky overly smooth accented version of standard English.
-Model: IG Imperial Guardsmen with strange organic looking swirly camo-patterns on their flak armor, welding lasfusils (lasguns with sawed off barrels), and with a piece of cloth covering their lower face like ninjas.
-Gameplay: They are the same as IG guardsmen in stats

Hardcap1, so only one of your Brood Brothers Squads can have him. Suggest offensive ability: Strafing Run (available only in T3, same as IG General’s ability)
-Voice: like a strong, commanding hybrid.
-Model: A Winter Assault IG General model with the oblong head of a hybrid.
-Gameplay: He increases morale of his squad a lot, and health moderately. Hardcap1, so only one of your Brood Brothers Squads can have him. Suggest offensive ability: Charisma (temporarily improves rate of fires of Brood Brothers and Brethren bikers squads around him)

Atalan Jackals
Notes:
An Atalan Jackal is a fourth generation Genestealer Neophyte Hybrid who has been tasked with riding their Genestealer Cult's primary light vehicles, including Atalan Wolfquads.  Atalan Jackals form the outriders of their gene-sect. They roam the corners of the host planet in search of new regions for their cult to infest. In many ways they are prospectors -- not of rich veins of minerals, precious metals or fossil fuel deposits, but of the bounty of human life. To a Genestealer Cult, that resource is the most precious of all. In game, they deploy hit & run tactics thus filling a fast attack role. They constantly are picking at units and then later disengaging with them so that the enemy can't gun them down in return. Sound loud, almost celebratory. Use a strain on the voice as their vocal cords can't articulate the sounds, s-sounds become elongated like a hiss, being kind of serpentine (look at hissing alligators for reference), with the occasional bestial snarl reminiscent of a proper Genestealer. However, being a unit who's worked amongst the greater populace, don't sound too overtly animal like, but give it strong hints. Have their laughter feel growly or raspy.

Sanctus
Notes:
The Sanctusses are specialized hybrids of a human cultist and a genestealer, bred and trained to assassinate anyone who is actively or possibly posing a threat to the spread of the cult. Although very solitary they are often accompanied by a soul blight familiar which serves as eyes and ears of the mysterious masters (Patriarchs) of the Sanctusses.

Locus
Notes:
Stoic and inhumanly patient, the Locus can go from sombre stillness to a blur of motion in an eye-blink. This sudden eruption of violence is as startling as it is deadly. Like a Lictor jumping from the shadows, the Locus makes a lightning-fast decapitating strike, their twin sabres flashing through the fog of battle to take the head of their foe. The more genestealer-like, the more they adopt a specific speech pattern – Something very Skaven-like, rapidly repeating short or one-syllable words, a strain on the voice as their vocal cords can't articulate the sounds, s-sounds become elongated like a hiss, and the bleeding in of animalistic grunts and growls. The more inhuman they are, the more they sound like it. Has a Palpatine-like quality to him. Switches between quiet menace and maniacal shouting at the drop of a hat.

Biophagus
Notes:
A master of gene-manipulation and bio-alchemy, the Biophagus is responsible for industrialising the process of indoctrination and infection. They concoct devious new contaminants that infect their victims with xenos genetics, morphing their body and mind, and rendering them susceptible to the sinister influence of the cult. A Patriarch may grant the Biophagus a Familiar, a scuttling assistant that sneaks into safeguarded facilities to disperse chemical agents into watersumps or air filtration bellows." The more obviously mutated a cultist is, the more they adopt a specific speech pattern – Something very Skaven-like, rapidly repeating short or one-syllable words, a strain on the voice as their vocal cords can't articulate the sounds, s-sounds become elongated like a hiss, and the bleeding in of animalistic grunts and growls. The more inhuman they are, the more they sound like it. They have a bit of the typical mad scientist vibe, a thin veneer covers a rather bestial and depraved individual. Playing a bit into the fear of doctors and needles a bit.

Notes: An IG techpriest, but the underlying voice is uneven and strange as if he’s been making experimental biological modifications to his vocal cords.Increases healing in attached squad. Model is an IG Techpriest with tyranid bits poking out of his dirty red Mechanicus robe and two servo arms. One is a normal servo arm with an apothecary narthecium on the end. The other servo arm is a grafted tyranid arm. His left arm/hand with the mechanicus staff is replaced by a fused limb of tyranid carapace, instead of an axehead, it has four tyranid scythe in a row curving downwards. His other hand is normal except that it has little genestealer claws on the fingers. He gives a big health boost to the squad he’s attached to.
-Model: Model is an IG Techpriest with a grafted tyranid arm in the place of his servo arm.

Their personality should be "brightly dark"; he is an alien, and one with a sinister purpose, but he leads with pride for a glorious and "virtuous" purpose, bringing a chilling irony to the lines. Voice in stentorian tones, with a grim and absolute focus.

Notes: A single dreadnought sized hybrid ogryn/genestealer. Very tough but offers little in way of buffs to the attached squad. Can travel through Genestealer Warrens. Requires Brood Mother to train.
-Voice: deep and slow speaking ogryn , but voice is distinctive and slightly off because of gene mutation
-Model: A single dreadnought sized ogryn with too many arms and partially covered with tyranid growths like oversized barnacles, no ripper gun, and regular ogryn heads. His attack is him smashing with his many fists

Notes:
"Maguses are psychically gifted and possessed of a supernatural charisma. Their control of the hybrids around them is total. As a prophet of their Patriarch, the word of a Magus is law, and their telepathic abilities are more than powerful enough to enforce it." The further along a cultist the genetic transformation, the more they adopt a specific speech pattern – Something very Skaven-like, rapidly repeating short or one-syllable words, a strain on the voice as their vocal cords can’t articulate the sounds, s-sounds become elongated like a hiss, and the bleeding in of animalistic grunts and growls. The more inhuman they are, the more they sound like it. They’re massive egotists, enjoying the power they get. Nevertheless, they display a hypnotic reverence for their Four-Armed God.

Masters of psychic and physical power, they muster and command the actions of the cult's many generations to ensure their targets are torn down in short order. Every word spoken by the Magus or Primus is obeyed to the letter by their faithful congregation, for they speak on behalf of the Star Saviour himself. This cocktail of psychic power, inspirational presence and dark charisma is a potent stimulant to the cultists around them. Perhaps realising they would soon be doomed should their masters leave them, the lesser warriors of the cult will fight tooth and claw to defend them – and on the day of battle, the best form of defence is attack..." The mastermind of the cult. Communicates in grunts, growls and other various animal sounds, occasionally, it will utter something resembling an alien language that only the Broodcoven can understand (feel free to spice that up with grunts and snarls as you see fit). It's to convey that it communicates with its subjects telepathically, but also to obfuscate the alien mind it possesses.  The voice will be heavily modified as well, the point is to be less something that can be made out as much as sounding distinct. Try getting a lot of weird tonality out of it, this will be even more accentuated in post. Don't overstrain your voice, you can keep it on the quiet side. We're giving you a lot of freedom in how to approach this.

Coverted from Ork Wartrukk, but the back part is the same skinniness with the same wheels as the front part. Spiky Ork bits are removed. It should be mostly black, but with teamcolourable detailing. Armeda mini-Leman Russ turret on the roof, either in the middle or front. Can carry one squad
-Model: the limo, if possible. It should be mostly black.
-Gameplay: Its default attack is to spawn a few individual genestealer (each a special squad of max one and automatically reduces to 1 health after a set time period). Pretty slow cooldown time. Can also carry one squad. With upgrade, it loses its attack / transport capacity and becomes a big suicide car bomb

Achilles Ridgerunner
Notes:
A lightly built scout car, they are often used by exploration teams in new colonies, prospectors and surveyors. They are speedy, durable and have long range travel capability- and these qualities along with their ubiquity have made them a common choice for zealous Genestealer cultists to commandeer for their fatalistic wars. They are often equipped with mining lasers, heavy stubber machine guns and can also carry mortars or missile launchers- the Achilles Ridgerunner is a versatile fast vehicle. The pilots are zealous and jittery, with a murderous energy.

Goliath Truck / Rockgrinder
Notes:
Piloted by fanatical Genestealer cultists, humans who are imbibed with the cursed genetics of a Tyranid genestealer, forever loyal to the Tyranid hive mind who they see as a messiah to transcend them- the genestealers are a terrifying force of self sacrificing extremists who will stop at nothing to subjugate a world and herald the likes of their alien overlords to the planet. Goliath trucks are quite ubiquitous across the Imperium and its many countless worlds, as they are an STC blueprinted heavy duty industrial truck used in many industries. Already durable and fixed with armoured plating for hazardous industrial work, the Genestealer cult further arms these armoured automotives with heavy stubber machine guns, flamers and all sorts of different weaponry they can get their disgusting hands on. Often as well that these Goliath trucks are fixed with heavy duty grinders normally used to churn away debris in underground mines and similar, are now used for deadly capacity to grind anything in front of them into chunks- this variant of the Goliath being called a Goliath-Rockgrinder.

Conversion Beam
Notes: Sound is like a Brood Brother with vehicle static.. Anti-vehicle/Anti-building artillery.
-Model: a basilisk with barrel that is a long red plasma generator rod, boxed in by four long metal grill plates, two brood brothers in the back.
-Gameplay: Basically a Basilisk with a huge tesla coil looking gun converted into a Anti-vehicle tank hunter. It fires a long range thick red beam that does absolutely devastating damage to vehicles and buildings that it hits, but is pretty inaccurate. It kills infantry too, but the long cooldown time makes it impractical. It takes damage to itself everytime it fires, so it must constantly be repaired. Shares a 3 softcap with the Quad Cannon and Rocket Carriage.

They fire one after the other to quickly lay down artillery fire, through individually weaker than the IG basilisk. Shares a 3 softcap with the Conversion Beam and Rocket Carriage.
-Model: Basilisk which has its howitzer barrel replaced with several skinny barrels.
-Gameplay: They fire one after another to quickly to devastate infantry or light vehicles, but not very effective against heavy armor.

It has a pennant hanging from the stern, the faction banner. It has a small upside down leman russ turrent on its nose, the primary weapon. It has six little sponson along its sides that fire lasguns like an IG guardsmen. Suggest offensive ability “Fly” (a slower moving version of the IG Marauder’s bombing run, except it doesn’t drop any bombs). Shares a 2 softcap with the Cult Tank and Gun Carriage.
-Model: the landed ship from the His Righteous Mod Landing Pad with strobing lights from the Witchhunters mod HQ. It has a pennant hanging from the stern, the faction banner.
-Gameplay: Basically a flying tank with a less powerful attack. It fires a constant spread of IG guardsmen lasgun beams from the underside that is good against clustered grounds of infantry. Suggest offensive ability: Saturation Bombing (drops a long stream of cluster munitions on whatever spot it happens to be, like Kirovs from Red Alert). Suggest defensive ability “Fly” (a slower moving version of the IG Marauder’s bombing run, except it doesn’t drop any bombs, it just flies somewhere on the map).

*There are 4 tiers instead of the usual 3
*Genestealer Cults have no Generator building. Instead, synapse units slowly generate energy. Many units that are called by synapse, like Purestrain Broods, require both req and power to train. Vehicles, for example, require only req to build. Energy is also used to cast powerful psychic abilities. Certain abilities do not use energy.

HQ - Genestealer Warrens
Note: the space hulk pipe openings building from the Space Hulk mod, where many units are spawned. Genestealer Warrens are cheap and a player can build many of them around the map. certain units can enter them to instantly transport around the map like Webway gates

Ability: Subterranean Horror (Effect is like a IG Basilisk’s Earthshaker Shell followed by a IG Hellhounds’s Let It Burn. At targeted area, there is an earthquake sound and a giant puff of dirt like when an IG heavy weapons team sets up. Simutaneously, a hole in the ground appears like when Chaos is constructing a generator and several tyranid tentacles violently burst out of the hole and are thrashing. I suggest the tentacles be like the tentacles be those from the Trygon Warrens builing in the Tyranids mod. Any friendly/enemy infantry standing where the hole appears are sent flying by the tentacles, flailing as they are tossed. Anything, including vehicles still remaining in the area take damage from the flailing tentacles. When the ability ends, there is a puff of dirt like when an IG heavy weapons team sets up and the ground returns to normal, with a single crater like in the aftermath of a Basilisk shell hit. All your Genestealer Warrens can collectively only cast this once, so if you activity the ability at one Genestealer Warrens, the cooldown for every Genestealer Warrens is reset)

Barracks/Vehicle Building – PDF Depot
Notes: Sound is of a vehicle engine revving and simultaneous jackboots marching. It looks like a downsized IG Mars Pattern Command with some camouflage patterns painted on instead of Imperial/AdMech symbols. It doesn’t have a lifter delivering packages in its build animation, it only has its door opening up. Units build at the PDF Depot cannot enter the Genestealer Warrens

Mines – Acid Spores
Notes: a bunch of Spore Mine tops embedded in the ground like some kind of skin condition, exploding in little green puffs of acid. Units hit are not damaged immediately but instead take the damage gradually as the acid eats into them. Effective against infantry and armor alike


Gameplay

-at first glance, Genestealer Cult looks similar to the IG, but enemies quickly find that local collaborators and environments turning against them. Xeno-renegades fight from within clouds of choking of organic particles and weld a variety of exotic weapons and machinery. In later game, enemies will face not only PDF and civilian vehicles, but biological horrors.

- The Genestealer Cult should be very flexible in strategy choices, reflecting its adaptability

-For example, a player might focus on traps and ambush. He might plant Myiasis and Drum Bombs along the enemy’s best avenues of attack/movement. Chameleon Brood block/assassinate detectors.

-Alternatively, a player could go melee heavy with lots of Hybrid Broods, Xenoform Giants, and commanders

-Alternatively, a player might whittle the enemy’s strength away by constantly raiding and skirmishing. In T2, he gets 2 Limos, 2 Brood Brothers, and 1 Biker Brethren. The Limos spawn temporary Genestealers which tie up the enemy in melee while the Brood Brothers and Bikers hose the enemy infantry. Whenever it seems like the enemy is winning, the Brood Brothers pop back into the Limos and they whole motorcade can speed. Undefended outposts get down apart by Chamelon Broods despite the fact there are turrets there. Throughout, the enemy has a hard time amassing infantry because of long range Rocket Carriages barrages.

-Synapse creatures generate a trickle of power, Mindslaves generate a lot of power

-Many units can Burrow, that is become cloaked and replaced with the burrowed Tau Drone pile of dirt model. You should be able to do with one click for multiple squads, like Jump.
