A friend couldn't get to the Online log-in, with this fix he can get to the log-in screen. But now the error it say is "Can't connect to the Battle for Middle-earth Online" if he clicks on "Log-in". What could the reason for that be?

That's probably because our webserver timed out or so. Did he get that error multiple times (and not just within a few minutes)?

He tried multiple times and the error still occurs.

Yes, the server had problems again today between around 15:00 and 16:30 UTC+2. It appears this was caused by log analysis software that was overwhelmed with all the new requests to our forums. That should be fixed now.

I just checked the logs. It's caused by a bug in the server code that is (hopefully) already fixed in the development version. I just need to fix one more thing and then the update will go live.

Hmmm I see it in the logs. I thought I had solved that... Maybe it's a client-side problem. Has he tried another nickname? Or deleting the My Battle for Middle-earth Files\LoTRB4MEOnline folder or GameSpyLogin.ini?
