So basically I'm playing with the heroes Vapula made (editing them a lot, but still his fantastic modelling and skinning) and have been working on adding them into the campaign. I basically added Haldir to arrive with the elven reinforcements at Helm's Deep and Ugluk is protecting the hobbits from the orcs in Fangorn. However, I'm gonna keep adding heroes to try to make the campaign truer to the movie, but would anyone be interested enough for me to put my progress up for download or should I keep this stuff to myself?

if you ask Vapula, he might appreciate this as an addon to his HeroMod ;)

Actually, if you were to check Vapula's site, you'd see that he's had to move on from modding. His heros are now all up for anyone to use without asking.

And SB, I'd love to get my hands on this whenever you're done. Partly so I can see how it's properly done. I've been able to add heroes to the campaign to some extent, but I'd love to see how you do it (I've basically only been able to add Haldir to Helm's Deep... and he's already there before the Elves arrive ;) ).

Best of luck!

Yeah, had to work on the scripts to make Haldir spawn and walk to Helm's Deep with the other elves. Had to fix his locomotor though, cause he was lagging behind the others.

Got it, took me so long cause deezire's mod messed up a lot of campaign missions :/

Oh that looks so sweet. Nice job! Have you kept Haldir's locomotor to match the elves' speed throughout the game as well (or is it all one locomotor... or... blah)? I always found it annoying that Haldir was so much slower than his troops

NOTE: How in heck did you manage to have both Aragorn and Boromir a higher level than Legolas? That Elf's a freaking kill-hog (not that that's a bad thing ;) ).

Yep, he's the same speed as Legolas and elven warriors now.

Precisely the reason I kept him lower, he's the only one I didn't let get a level-up chest in Moria. He levels up the easiest, so I try to keep him from levelling up at the beginning.

Edit: I have Haldir to first appear in Lothlorien to assist in fighting off the goblins and trolls, but he is npc controlled, can't get him until Helm's Deep.

I hope you guys aren't expecting much from this, I just started coding...Saturday. I'm thinking of disabling the fell-beast option, maybe keep the Nazgul either on foot or on horse, and Witch-king always on fell beast. Don't want people to be able to fully heal just by mounting, would be an unfair exploit.

I would think Nazgul on Horseback and witchking on Fell sounds reasonable. Mordor has no calvary anyway...

Don't know whether it crashes at end of battle or not, haven't finished a battle with any of new heroes.

Alrighty, finished Helm's Deep with Haldir, he was on the Hero Veterancy tab and remains in the Rohan Army (dunno what'll happen next).
Basically I just did what Celeglin suggested in another thread, added him to LivingWorldArmy in the campaign ini, added his object on the map, created a team for him, put him on same waypoint paths as the other elves, and added him to Player when he reached Helm's Deep gate. When he died I was able to resurrect him from the Citadel as well, so adding heroes to the campaign isn't as hard as people thought, its pretty much all already there.

Anyway, on topic, I think Haldir will be the only one I'm adding to the Good campaign unless someone else has some ideas for other characters (I was thinking about Gamling perhaps, because the Rohan army doesn't have many good heroes for the campaign). However, I'll add Ugluk, the Nazguls, and Sharku for the Evil (I'd add Gothmog, but I don't like his character model, especially not when he's wielding a torch and upon a Warg, maybe if he had a different weapon and was able to dismount).
Also, was thinking about adding some bonus objectives like "Keep Haldir Alive" for helm's deep, and maybe for Evil if you kill Frodo and take back the ring, you can summon/recruit Sauron.

Could Someone make me a Madril hero by editing Faramir's model to give him a dark grey cloak and grey hair? I'd like to put him in the Ranger group hiding out in Northern Ithilien and then he can be added to the Gondor army in the campaign.
I don't have photoshop and 3ds max so I can't do it, anyone help out? And perhaps an Erkenbrand (Eomer on horse model, red shield, dark hair, black armor)?
I can't skin or model, so until I can get these things basically this project is permanently on hold.
