How to become a part of this mod
Send me a pm or email or post here detailing what you would like to do for this mod and any past experience. You don't have to worry if you don't have any, it just gives me an idea of what you are capable of.

Also, I will be going away for a week, from July 10th - 17th, so don't expect a reply from me between those dates.

What a coincidence, I just started on a Star Wars Mod. I was thinking of concentrating mostly on interspace warfare. Maybe I could join your mod or at least lend you a few models if you like. The past few days I built a Star Destroyer model, I'm going to skin it soon, and I'm currently coding it, though its getting to be very complex with multiple passenger/turret weaponry and possibly a transparent external shield shell to simulate deflector shields.

Anyway, here's a screen of the star destroyer in its current state.

This is a generic star destroyer, so its details such as weaponry and finer points are left open for subclass division, which will be special upgrades it can buy to customize it (like the ISD-I and ISD-II primary subclasses).

Tell me if your interested as I will be most definitely working on quite a few other ships, Imperial and Rebel.

That star destroyer is lovely. I would be honored to have you on my team. I'm not the best at modeling or skinning and it would be nice to have somewon that can on the team. :rolleyes:

Could be me, but what's the use? Empire at War features all that, done by professionals and takes only a year to come out(whereas a complete mod might/probably will take way longer).

I checked into that Empire at War (didn't know about it before), it looks pretty good, and have atleast four seperate classes of star destroyers, though I planned to build a few more than that, and a star destroyer model is pretty simple, but they're bound to be different in some ways. Its just a lot of fun creating something.

Anyway, I just mean that any mod is good experience.

Why don't you help out Imperial Assault or something? Just a suggestion though, just a suggestion... I do realise that there are some things that can't be done in Generals/ZH, so yea...

that star destroyer looks cool, but why dont you do a clone wars mod? then u could have loads of jedi and cool stuff like wookies,

if u do change to clone wars then contact me and i might help out with some models.

that imperial assault looks sweet :sad:

if you need some code for making a star destroyer that can be customised, check out the code for the Overlord tank (china) in generals. it comes with nothing, but you can put either a gun, a bunker, or a propagandamachine on it.

and it would be cool if you made the x-wings and astrodroids (like R2-D2) seperate units that can be combined (combo horde code)

Yes, I know about the Sith War but that is set many years before the clone wars so it is very different. And about the imperial assault I wouldn't be of much use there as I don't have Generals. It looks good though.

Clone Wars Information:

2 factions: CIS and Republic
Space and Ground missions.
Space missions will be like playing with a completly different faction. I plan to test the limits of the map.ini in this mod.

What I have done:

CIS and Republic unit and hero lists for the ground are 'complete'. Just need to be reviewed and refined.
CIS and Republic unit list for space is 'complete'. Just need to be reviewed and refined.
CIS and Republic Hero list for Space has been started.
Ground Building List has been started.

I'm not sure if I have time to be a prominant part of this mod, but I'm going to build up as many spacecraft as I can and I'll let you use any that fit in the clone wars (earlier star destroyer classes, etc.) I can't (haven't tried and don't want to) model people, but I might do a few mechs eventually, so I'm limited on the ground front. Contact me if your interested, and maybe a list of possible units you might need.
