I recently wanted to make a basic mod for generals, nothing difficult, maybe just adding a logo to a vehicle or summat. I have to neccesary programs (.BIG editor etc.) but how do you edit the .tga files?

I have the DXT_Tools, but I can't work out how to use them, if anyone could help I'd be grateful.

:p Please?

But how do you change the .dds files to .tga?

 maybe I'm going about this wrong. The files needed for the model are in .w3d and .dds formats. The .dds formats are for the textures, yet the W3D editor reads them as .tga files. How do I change them so they are .tga files?

Also, what version of Adobe Photoshop do you use? Mine isn't particularly new, and claims that the file "may be damaged or in an unsupported format". Maybe that's the problem....

Use XCC (http://xccu.sourceforge.net/) to open the big files, and right-click on the files, and use Convert to PCX. PCXs can be opened by abuot any image editing program.

There's probably another way to do it, without XCC, but I never needed it
