ARGUMENT FROM CREATION, a.k.a. ARGUMENT FROM PERSONAL INCREDULITY (I)
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

From this point on we accept no more requests until the previous ones have been sorted, and revora 2.0 finished.

Sorry people, but due to the revora re-org we have much more work on our hands than we would like (frankly I didn't suspect so many people would want a layout ), nevertheless the previous requests will still be sorted as fast as we can.

Just to point out that RevHL is prioritive, because it is a very important part of Revora 2.0.

Well i guess its time for me to ask if you can do a decent looking site for my Xenophobia Mods. Mind you anything is better then my attempts ;)

Project Name(s): YR: Xenophobia, TS: Xenophobia

Style Wanted: Ok each of these mods are for different C&C games so i would like them to be both under the same area but each mod to have their own themes.
- The TS mod to have a green/gold look to it but also could you make it in a blueprint/map style to it since its going to be a pre-release mod

- For the YR mod could you base it loosly on the MO site but not the same since i don't want my head bitten off by Speeder ;)

Layout Wanted: Well i would like the usual for a Mod site. Yet again look at the MO site for the sort of layout i like :D

EDIT: SHIT! Just realised that you no-long take requests. Well i'll leave this here none the less :)

I think we've got it all covered. (Note, I think).

Btw the Project Raptor template is sorted so I can move on to another one...

However I have a niggling feeling that this is the wrong way to go. Creating personalised templates is quite time consuming and such, I reckon some generic templates that any mod can use would be good for other mods who are just starting and require a website.

I'm happy doing personalised templates, but it seems quite a large thing to do if a project doesn't show much promise or anything.

Project Raptor is a successful project and quite well recognized in the Generals community. It might not be something like a Blitz II, but it is a successfull mod.

All mods hosted here have potential to be great. What makes it great are us and our attitudes. If we work on a mod to make it an avarage mod, it will be an avarage mod... at least it will tend to be one.

Yeah, true, one of the reasons I wanted to do the Project Raptor site was because it was well established and successful.

However, we arn't the ones working on the mod, that's the job of the members, and maybe I didn't phrase right, but a personalised template might be better only going to the more successful mods who have work already done, and who deserve it. The mods just starting could use the generic templates, and use their artists to replace the artwork when the time comes.

Just a suggestion though, you are the guys in charge.

The only problem is that judging if a mod is well or not well stablished may bring equivocated conclusions. So, we'd better treat everyone equally.

True, very true.

I also think that we should be able to reject applications for layout requests if the information they give is very vague. :p.

No mod is better than any other mod. Therefore, if you offer to make a personalised site for one mod, you should make a personalised site for every mod that asks. Your opinion on whether something is good or not is quite frankly, insignificant. You are not better than anyone else and therefore have no right to judge whether something is deemed good or not. You can have a personal opinion on something but it is merely an opinion, communities are based on sharing, not who knows the right people. Personal Templates for all, or Personal Templates for none.

You also shouldn't reject applications. If someone's application doesn't go into enough detail, ask for more so you can do what they want. How stupid does it look if you offer a free service and then decline to do so?

If your going to do a job, do the job, don't pussy foot around pretending you want to do and then never do because it doesn't "float your boat".

You have to remember that these web designer's are the ones doing the work. you cant expect them to show 100% dedication to a project they don't work for and for free? i mean really i know its a free service but free services have limits! i think the artists should choose on what projects would fit their interests.

I find it reasonable to prioritize which sites get done by whom. They are free and well, you can't beat the price. So I think they should choose which projects they do and which will have to wait.

We're not a website template factory are we?
