Hi, i want to start this topic, because i have found some game files and features not used completely (mounted machine nest, mecanic wench, flamethrower) , and there are also other already commentedin BEL beta version still present in the retail release.
 
Mounted machine guns nest:
I had to restore this feature, becuase it was partially implemented

But this not end here, there are also sprites for the Driver for this animation:

Right now i need to configure this properly to allow show the Driver animation. There are also other stuff not completed, will look into game files and do furthe testing..

Here are a lot more unused things i've found, I found all this looking through the files for the BEL demo, some of this might be in full game files too.

 

I've found an unused Commando face, the picture sprite seems to be much bigger than all the other commandos too so that suggests it was supposed to fit the old HUD/UI, on some versions of the game this guy is on the cover art and shows as "spooky", must be an old version of the spy:

Basically the same as the map name order, so mapa0000.mis, then mapa0001.mis, then mapa0002.mis etc

Ok, no problem, im completing the new usable items. Send me private if you dont know how to enable those.

 

Currently the wagon can be driveable, but pilot sprite is not seting up correctly. Fixed a bit the machinegun nest.

I've got beta spy working too, i resized the images to fit the interface, and used the death skull from the sniper because they have a similar shape face:

I've got beta spy working too:

 

For me seems that is a different head version of the sniper, same hair style, and spy is and old man XD.

Yes that wagon you posted is in mission 19 only

 

There is some other vehicles that are only in 1 mission too like the fire engine, the Citroen cars etc.

I feel a little dumb about the machine gun right now. Isn't this the normal machine gun that's already in the game? Just that it's made out of two sprites: The static tripod and the usable machinegun object.

 

Also that spy uniform looks like the gestapo clothes? Reminds me of how much it sucks that the gestapo critter doesn't have a full animation set to be usable for the spy.

Yes, there is usable machine gun found in game, now the difference will be the code will not allow to use it for some missions..

Not sure what you mean with spy, maybe that got fixed in bcod gestapo animations..

What you trying to do, modify or create new?

Make sure you use GIMP or Photoshop and do not use MS Paint as that screws the colour of them up.

Great find, also another unused thing i've found from the preview trailer for BEL

at 3:22 on this preview trailer for BEL, you could shoot boxes from cranes to crush enemies, this isn't in the final however i checked. No idea if this is in the game files still however. you can see some other differences in the video too.

Actually back in 2001 there was a mod that had the night mission included, so I can't take any credits for that :)

Unfortunately I can't find a copy of this mod on my devices.

 

And robb, thanks for the preview trailer! I think I haven't seen that before.
