I have been trying without success to mod battle for middle earth 1(i got the T3A one LOTR:BFME Online edition) namely been trying to increase the command points,money farms and forge makes and how fast buildings level up. i've done this before and i used to use a program called b4mege to edit the file in the past and just tried it again lastnight but it still didnt work. I have tried looking on the forums and cant find nothing one said that the OE patach 1.06.big overrides the original ini.big and i tried editing both still with no success.

i have already checked the forums but cant find anything of help in fact i have tried some of the thing i saw in one of the threads and have had no success with it.

First look up a program called finalbig. It seems to work better than any other program I've tried. Then use it to open up the Big file (either the original or version 1.06 or even a modded game, whichever you are working with) and look for data\ini\gamedata.ini

Pretty much all the values you are looking for are in that file. Just take a minute to look through it as it has all the values listed for every unit in the game.

Hello. I see you've made two threads asking this question, so I deleted the one you posted in the T3A:Online Support section.

From reading your post all I know is that you used 'a program called b4mege' (which I have never heard of) and that 'it didnt work'. If you're asking for help, it helps describing exactly what you did and what tutorial you followed rather than being uppity towards someone trying to address your problem.

If you haven't followed any, I recommend these:

I aplogize about that. i edited BFME before but that was with the retail v 1.03 of the game and not the BFME OE version. I have followed what the other thread unlimited command points was told and that didnt work. I have used the program before which worked but it isnt working now and i have also tried editing the gamedata file using the finalbig program,notepad that didnt work i even tried put the modified gamedata back into the .big file and the -mod command doesnt work either.

First of all I suggest not using the BFME1 Online Edition, as it's an unauthorized version that's been heavily modified (and not by us) so we don't know what is what for that game. You can get the original right here: https://forums.revor...allation-guide/

If your mod isn't working, you're missing a step or doing something wrong. So you need to tell us *exactly* what you do rather than briefly describe it.

#define M_ROHAN_STABLES_BUILDCOST        600
#define M_ROHAN_STABLES_BUILDTIME        30
#define M_ROHAN_STABLES_VISIONRANGE            160
#define M_ROHAN_STABLES_SHROUDCLEAR        161
#define M_ROHAN_STABLES_MAXHEALTH        3000
#define M_ROHAN_STABLES_MAXHEALTHDAMAGED            2000
#define M_ROHAN_STABLES_MAXHEALTH_REALLYDAMAGED        1000

#define    M_ROHAN_STABLES_LVL1_EXP_AWARD             20
#define    M_ROHAN_STABLES_LVL2_EXP_AWARD             25
#define    M_ROHAN_STABLES_LVL3_EXP_AWARD             30

;------------------------FARM-------------
#define M_ROHAN_FARM_BUILDCOST        250
#define M_ROHAN_FARM_BUILDTIME        15
#define M_ROHAN_FARM_MONEY_TIME                 2000

Which all-in-one patch do you mean? You should install the game from scratch (v1.00), then upgrade to 1.03, then download 1.05 and then download 1.06.

Hello everyone,

By now we reach the time when our good old original disks reach their date of expiry and are expected to show serious physical failure. We decided to provide you an alternative way to continue playing!

Below you'll find a step-by-step installation guide for each game.

Big thanks to GameReplays.org for hosting the downloads!

Battle for Middle-earth

ladderbfme1logo.jpg

  1. Download and install Daemon Tools Lite (do not update this specific version!)
  2. Download BFME1 (original unmodified version): Main / Mirror
  3. Mount the downloaded .iso file with Daemon Tools (try this youtube video if you need help)
  4. Install BFME1 from the now mounted disk image. Need a CD-keyNote: some antivirus software will flag the keygen. This is a false positive. The keygen is perfectly safe.
  5. Install the latest patches with our all in one patch 1.06 installer (installs 1.03, 1.05, 1.06 and can also install our launcher which is all you need)
  6. (If you didn't install our launcher with step 5.) Download T3A:Online to play online!

Battle for Middle-earth 2

ladderbfme2logo.jpg

  1. Download and install Daemon Tools Lite (do not update this specific version! If this version does not work for you try Alcohol52%, make sure to mount to 'SCSI')
  2. Download BFME2 (original unmodified version): Main / Mirror
  3. Mount the downloaded .iso file with Daemon Tools (try this youtube video if you need help - make sure to mount to 'SCSI')
  4. Install BFME2 from the now mounted disk image. Need a CD-keyNote: some antivirus software will flag the keygen. This is a false positive. The keygen is perfectly safe.
  5. To play without a CD, download this mini image and mount either one of them with the older version of Daemon Tools you downloaded.
  6. Install the latest patches:
  7. Download T3A:Online to play online!

Rise of the Witch-King

ladderrotwklogo.jpg

  1. Download and install BFME2 as described above
  2. Download ROTWK (original unmodified version): Main / Mirror
  3. Mount the downloaded .iso file with Daemon Tools (try this youtube video if you need help. If this version does not work for you try Alcohol52%, make sure to mount to 'SCSI')
  4. Install ROTWK from the now mounted disk image. Need a CD-keyNote: some antivirus software will flag the keygen. This is a false positive. The keygen is perfectly safe.
  5. (Can be skipped if you install the new patch 2.02 with new game.dat, see below) To play without a CD, download this mini image and mount either one of them with the older version of Daemon Tools you downloaded.
  6. Install the latest patches:
  7. T3A:Online support for RotWK is COMING SOON.

the one from that post

Oh yeah, you're right.. I'm still doing it the classic way :p

It shouldn't cause any issues for you, but you can try installing patch 1.03 (EA's latest/final patch), then see if your mod works with that, and if it does continue with downloading Patch 1.05 and 1.06.

Also, did you get the -mod command working / is it set up properly?

yes i got the -mod command working and i got the command points to increase i was making the mod in mod capital when i wasn't supposed too. i feel i am missing a step but i cant figure it out. i never had this problem before.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

; FILE: GameData.ini (SYSTEM) /////////////////////////////////////////////////
;//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

// GAMEDATA IN OBJECT|GAMEDATA.INI
// BALANCE DATA IN DEFAULT\WATER.INI

is that what i supposed to put to get the game to read the water.ini file for the build data? or do i have to put the name of the modded INI?

Glad you managed to fix this issue! I'm sorry I never really had the time to check in here the last couple days, so I couldn't respond.
