Could not connect to C&C Generals Zero Hour online

Hey folks!
I used to play CnC Generals Zero hour a lot during 2000s. This evening I'm happy to discover that there is a live community still and I can play the game via Origins!
I went online to https://cnc-online.net/en/account/ and made myself an account with my email and chose a password.
But when I try to log in with my email and fresh password I still can't get access via the normal online menu of the game. Instead I get the following message after about 10 seconds: Could not connect to C&C Generals Zero Hour online.
Have you guys got any idea on how to log in to the online platform of Zero Hour?

Update:
Ive figured we need to have the C&C Online App. I've downloaded it, but when I press the Zero Hour button, it says "Zero Hour installation not found". I have the game installed on the computer via Origins. It's the Ultimate Edition with lots of CNC games.
Any idea how I can get the app to understand where the Zero Hour is installed?

You shouldn't use the C&C:Online launcher (if that is what you meant by "the app") to launch Generals or Zero Hour. If you are playing only those games, you should unhook and uninstall the C&C:Online launcher and install GenTool. When you have done that, you just launch the game from its ordinary shortcut. Please could you make your own topic though. This one is spent.
