Could not write value Debugger to key...

The same issue has been reported before according to the old forum posts archives.

Perhaps this may help?

You may be missing the Administrator rights or your Anti-virus software may give the installer hard times.

Yes.   The launcher uses the windows debugger function to detect when the game has loaded so it can patch it (or something like that).   That is thought to be a security risk so you need admin privileges to access it and some (quite a few) AV programs block it even when they are switched off.     The new method does not use the debugger, so I figure the easiest way round it is to go straight to that.   That is why we need to know which game will be played.
