Hey there. I Recently i faced the problem that I couldn't connect almost no one in Kane's Wrath (i`m using 1.02 version, the game is on Steam while i`m running it on Windows 10). I currently live in Poland and from what I`ve understood i can connect only 10-15% of all KW players (most of them are from Germany). I use wireless connection and i set up my router and opened TCP/UDP ports there - it didn't help and situation didn't change a bit ( I also reinstalled cnc online & KW before opening the ports and still there was almost no improvement - I only connect a few players).

I changed my appartments and my internet provider also - i thought that was the issue which caused that I could connect no player - there's always this icon which reflects "waiting for the connection" state and in the end there's no con to be established. From time to time, i happened to notice that it wasn't even trying to institusionalise the connection between me and the other player (when I open my own room I can see on which fase connection is - and it's just being gray all the time and rarely tries to change it's state - then immediately turns back to no connection and showes red sign of no con all the time).
When suddenly I tried to change the internet provider to the one i use on my mobile phone (which is 4g connection and I managed to play like that earlier, when i found myself detached from my home-internet provider and there're no troubles with connection then) i realised that I still can't connect no one. By some lucky coincidence I only managed to connect to motherfucker yesterday and that was it. I tried to connect dozens people after that without no luck.
Nonetheless, I have no clue where the problem is coming from - my laptop settings (i use steam version of the game) or my poor internet con (which is weird anyway since I managed to connect to one player when using 4g internet shared from my phone router application).

Those screenshots were taken by me and it reflects that my con is not slow - moreover, i played the same person on cnc online (it was RUbilaABsolute and I could not connect him there) and on gameranger where we connected easily and played smoothly and no troubles appeared. Let me know, if you need any additional information (cause I just can`t make heads or tails at what information you may need and where I can get it).

C&C:Online and gameranger work differently. With C&C:Online, you connect to the other players directly and that needs to support IP4 (that might be the problem but we can get round that). Gameranger is essentially a VPN server like Hamachi.

Anyway, this is the test I need:

[READ BEFORE POSTING] How to report issues
  • Disable port forwarding and DMZ in your router.
  • Download the connection diagnostic tool here: http://server.cnc-on.../NATNegTest.rar
  • Extract it into a folder and double-click on the .bat file. (Make sure that the files are extracted fully. You cannot run the test from the compressed files.)
  • Copy-paste the output to your help topic.

NAT negotiation works with your router and connection.
==> You do not have to use port forwarding.
