Hi,

Today I was recording a match (with OBS Studio), 2v2 with 3 AI. After an hour the game crashed with technical difficulties.

My PC has 16 GB of memory, using a SSD drive.

Does anyone have any advice to decrease chances of crashes? I figured that flat, straightforward maps without too complicated AI paths are best to play with AI. Like 'Green pastures'.

But ofcourse everyone likes variation between maps.

I DID follow the instructions to reduce lag as posted on Reddit (https://www.reddit.c...nc_generals_zh/)

I also quit and restart Generals (the whole game) to 'clear' the memory between matches , not sure if that actually helps.

But was wondering if anyone knows which maps (also Contra maps) that are good for 2v2 with 3 AI.

P.S. What does 'reset FPS' do ?

Thanks.

All known crashes and mismatch errors will be fixed in 009 Final.

Some maps have been improved, while other bad maps have been removed from the mod.

The Reset FPS button as well as some options in the Options menu are not functioning, so they will be removed in the next version.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

That's good to hear. I know some maps run matches better than others, but I'm glad you guys are going to sort them out!

Regards

Just one more question.

I wanted to play some 'vanilla' Zero Hour today. But got the serious error after a half an hour into a 2v2v2 skirmish on the Defcon 6 map.

Do you know of any patches or fixes that can fix the crashes like you plan to with the Contra mod, but for the vanilla version of Generals Zero Hour?

Thanks.

I don't know of any fixes for Zero Hour crashing. Crashes occur randomly. We have found some errors caused by the mod itself and we'll fix them. We cannot fix the vanilla game's errors, sadly.
