Hi guys I need help!

 

I am looking for a solution on the internet literally for hours (!) now and can't find any help. That's why I open this thread. Please help.

 

I can't connect to other players online in BFME. When the game should start (black "connect" window in lobby) it says "waiting for probe response".

 

I have deactivated my windows firewall, I forwarded all recommended ports, i even tried it as "exposed host".

 

What I have found out: I can't open the game with the launcher set to compatibility mode Windows 7. The game only starts as and with Windows XP SP2 mode.

 

There is no chance to connect. There are so many people with this problem. Do you have any solution for this?

The connect window? I'm not sure what you are talking about, can you login but not connect with other players or can you not login at all?

 

Did you make sure you portforwarded port 16000 and not 1600? Did you make sure it was UDP? Did you use the portforward network utilities port checker to make sure the portforward was successful?

 

You don't have to play in w7 compability mode, it works in w10.

Hello, I got the same problem. I can play online with my wife in the same flat (same router) and no problems from the start. But neither of us can join anyone online of the other friends.

 

We see each other in lobby, can join/host games. When we push "start the battle", the countdown shows, black window appear which should go through 3 phases for each player:

Waiting for probe response -> establishing connection -> connected

 

With my wife, everything goes and we play. With all others we stop at "waiting for probe response", followed after 10 seconds "Error" with lots of suggestions (opening of port, firewall exceptions, options.ini editing ... etc. Neither of which works.

 

I have no idea how to make it work. Can anyone suggest something?
