Hello

First of all love the mod, can't stop playing, it feels like BFME 3 and that is a amazing but when pretty much every skirmish ends with this crash it sucks, so i have for the last couple of days tried to fix this and i would like to know if anyone can help me and hopefully others who experience this, so i'm gonna list everything i have tried.

- I have tried to reinstall everything

- I have tried lowering graphics details and everything in that section

- I have tried installing everything on my second PC but still got the crash

- I have tried to create a map folder and put a file there with a code

- I always exit the game after every match

- I have tried to find solutions but pretty much all solutions are really old with some instructions for Windows XP

- I have tried to copy my friends settings and install process who does not experience any crashes

Probably some that i am forgetting.

Best regards

It looks like you are doing everything right.  I had this game.dat error shortly after I started using the mod.  I only had it the one day, but it happened three times in a row.

The only thing in your post I didn't see that might  contribute to the error is game length.  In my search for answers I read that because BFME was created for the use of single core processors that it becomes overloaded from "high graphic settings" and long skirmish games.  The load builds up over time and the game eventually crashes.  Because all modern computers have at least duo or quad core processors, the individual processors are actually slower and less efficient, but there are more of them, so most programs run more efficiently.

I have tried to limit my skirmish game with friends to less than an hour, and I have turned shadows and shaders off completely.  Since I did that I have not had the crash happen again.

One thing about this problem though is that I don't think there is a precise solution.  I wonder if the modders could change the software to utilize multi core processors?
