Usually, I come here to talk LotR lore, Battle for Middle-earth, and/or Games Workshop's Middle-earth game.

--

But occasionally, I will talk of something Non-LotR.

--

So... on roughly September 3rd of 2020, I took on a Do It Yourself project: Replacing the battery of my Mid-2014 MacBook Pro with a new battery from Late 2020. And I was a success with it! The only problem is that no charger cable I bought so far will refill it! But I will be solving that problem on the 25th of this month.

--

Here is some backdrop: my MacBook Pro's battery it came with... fried itself in Early 2020, but don't ask how or why as nobody could possibly know the answer, not even me. So, I made it my mission to replace my MacBook Pro battery and it's charger cable.

--

Anyway, the message of this post is I followed a 5-minute tutorial on YouTube on how to replace a Mid-2014 MacBook Pro's battery to the letter and now my MacBook Pro has been resurrected.

--

Has anyone here ever done something similar to this?

Yes, I do live by this advice to the best of my ability.
