Though I think the AI adjustments are cool in theory, when I just want to play to relax, the Peasant difficulty is far too intense. Would it be possible to tone it down substantially to something much closer to the EA's original easy difficulty. I really appreciate all the creativity that's been put into this game: the powers, the factions, the campaigns, etc... It's really a great thing you all have accomplished.

 

I've been playing this for nearly 20 years, but as my free time has lessened, my desire for intense battles has subsided. I just want to chill, but find the enemies get too big, too fast, and too early.

 

If there is no hope of this request being fulfilled, please let me know that so that I'm not wondering about it.

 

Alternatively, if you tell me which file and attributes to change, I could change the attributes myself because I have the BIG file editor and can do it. I only play offline alone. Again, this is something that I use to unwind with at the end of the day. I'm not a competitor.

I'm really grateful that you responded so promptly. Thanks so much.

By the way, I adjusted the handicap settings and actually got something that I enjoy. I had just tried Age of Rings for the first time the day before, and I've never tinkered with handicap before.

Humorously, the first time I tried adjusting the handicap, I put it on myself, thinking it was like golf. Instead, it got even harder, LOL. So, then I applied it to the enemies, and it really resolved my issues.

 

I jumped the gun with my request. Please forgive me if it all seemed like I was diminishing the fantastic job you have done. Also, thank you for taking the request to heart.
