I'm having the same issue. Looked at the "connections issues section", but got the impression only "Solution 5b" applies for me. I tried changing Options.ini on both machines, but it didn't help.
I do have the Ultimate collection, which I bought 2x (for me and my son), so it seams ...
Solution 1: If you got the game(s) through The Ultimate Collection bundle, DOWNLOAD THIS to prevent connection issues to people that don't have The Ultimate Collection.
...would not apply to my case.
Can someone help please? Should I try solution 1 anyway?

I tried solution 1, but it didn't want to install. Says there are no games from the Ultimate collection installed.
I bought it just now 2 times from Steam for 6 EUR each.

I read elsewhere on this forum that I should use a VPN. Windscribe VPN was recommended a few times, that that too does not work.
In RA3, network settings tab, I don’t see my VPN IP. I see my LAN IP and another IP I don’t recognize.
Which settings should I use in Windscribe? Which protocol? Wireguard? I tried a fee different one’s, but every time the IP does not match the options shown in RA3.
Any other ideas, or more details on how to exactly set this up?
