See? Its hard to explain how things actually worked then. A couple of men arrested are no cause to move a warship.

Bear in mind, Reagan was president. If you weren't a communist, you were an alleged communist, and if you didn't help slay the communist, vodka drinking dragon, you weren't a good trading partner.

And our military was (and a large part still is) extremely right-sided in preferance in 1982. Mind you, our relations with US were perfect before the war (hell, USA even sold us weapons), as every south american dictatorship took the national security doctrine preached by USA as a holy law during this timeframe.

Well back then US and Britan was a love/hate relationship. Hell there were still slaves then. The islands aren't even that big but IF there was logic it would seem Argentina would have the rights.
Not that that will change cause logic and politics are 2 different species. I've been to Argentina and it's a beautiful country. Women there are really hot also. I always wondered how our southern parnters on this hemisphere are not more closely allied with us...
