I made several new and bigger combohordes, and the last fault I have to take care of is the respawning.
You see whenever a unit gets killed, the horde ofcourse respawns it ( when there is a banner duhh ) , but these respawned units are then no longer part of the horde, they act as individuals and can be fully controlled, but the horde does save room for them so the horde ends up full of gaps when done respawning.

How can I make the respawners stick to the horde like they should ?

( every member of the horde ofcourse has his own position and the slots and initalunits have the right numbers behind them, the hordes are sized 20 members and 40 members )

Its always best to check a working combo horde against yours, see whats different.

Already did that, most of the code is the same exept for some minor stuff and ofcourse the slots/initialunits and the positions.

I dont know then, I checked the Pikemen-Fighter combo horde there and there is no code for reviving units. Maybe Hostile or AdmiralGT will know more.

Why dont you check out the Epic Warfare mod? It has combo hordes with more units, and I believe they respawn correctly. Check it against yours.
You can download it over at the MEMW site.

K its all the same, exept for some things of course but those are not the problem.
What could make a respawning unit pop out of the horde ?

I'd save the code for the object on a text document, and another for the horde code on a seperate text document. Sign up for the forums and attach the two documents so we can have a look.

Maybe there is something we can spot.

Evil hordes

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™\data\ini\object\hordes

Evilfaction units describes how the unit itself behaves, the horde file explains what it should do when you have a horde of them. They are two seperate files.

Gondor soldier, and the gondor soldier horde code.

have you tried lycos I know it's website hosting but you can upload whatever you want.

Is it just to post them here?
If so just attach them to your reply under the icons at the bottom of the reply page is an option to attach stuff.

(I'm guessing that's what it's for anyway ) :sad:

Well I was assuming you would only attach the portion of code for the unit you actually added and not the whole evilfaction code... :sad:

How am I supposed to know what you changed in the horde code if I don't even know what unit to look for. Edit your post and attach just the relevant info.

The stuff in the hordes file I attached is only contains: original mordorfighter, mordorarcher and mordorfighterarcher combo for comparing code ( spelling ? ), and my new hordes.
Evilfactionunits coming soon

Maybe you have somehow confused the game because you have 21 slots plotted.

;Positions for 20
  RankInfo = RankNumber:1 UnitType:MordorArcher Position:X:22 Y:-32	Position:X:22 Y:-10	Position:X:22 Y:10	Position:X:22 Y:32
  RankInfo = RankNumber:2 UnitType:MordorArcher Position:X:2 Y:-32	Position:X:2 Y:-10	Position:X:2 Y:10	Position:X:2 Y:32
  RankInfo = RankNumber:3 UnitType:MordorArcher    	Position:X:-22 Y:-10	Position:X:-22 Y:10

  RankInfo = RankNumber:4 UnitType:MordorFighter Position:X:42 Y:-50	Position:X:42 Y:-32	Position:X:42 Y:-10	Position:X:42 Y:10	Position:X:42 Y:32	Position:X:42 Y:47
  RankInfo = RankNumber:5 UnitType:MordorFighter Position:X:27 Y:-50	Position:X:22 Y:50
  RankInfo = RankNumber:6 UnitType:MordorFighter Position:X:2 Y:-50	Position:X:2 Y:50
;RankInfo = RankNumber:7 UnitType:MordorFighter Position:X:-27 Y:-50	Position:X:-22 Y:50

This is taken from you archer combo horde.

Also is this valid syntax to have four hordes in one? Or am I seeing this wrong and not understanding it?

ComboHorde = Target:MordorArcherArcherComboHorde  Result:MordorFighterFighterArcherArcherComboHorde  InitiateVoice:OrcFighterVoiceJoinArcher
  ComboHorde = Target:MordorFighterFighterComboHorde Result:MordorFighterFighterFighterFighterComboHorde InitiateVoice:OrcFighterVoiceJoinAnybody

Hmm if there really are 21 positions plotted that would explain why the double double hordes ( 40 ) don`t respawn their units right, but the double horde ( 20 ) doesn`t respawn right either.. :S

[checked] the hordes have the right numbers, 20 slots and 20 positions, and the big ones 40 slots and 40 positions.

And about the combo-ing code, for example the MordorArcherArcherComboHorde is a new horde I created, It itself is created by coupling to basic archerhordes, so its ONE horde on itself now, it works just fine coupling, thats not the problem.
The sound I used is just an existing one so no problems there either, do know that making the hordes couple is working ok, the problems I had was only the respawning,

O and another thing, the units don`t move away from the horde to melee attack, and yes I already increased the meleeattackleash but that didn`t help.
