Does anybody know how to take screenshots of the LOTR DVD's? I'd like to do this so that I could use images from the movie for my mod. You can't just do PrntScrn or Alt+PrntScrn. This does not process the dvd snapshot in the right way.

I suppose you could play the dvd on your compueter and pause it at the correct spot, than use the print screen button and open it in an art program.

Tried it already. It doesn't work. Like I said above, print screen button doesn't process the image in the right way.

When you say it doesn't process it do you mean the image is messed up? That could be built into the software you use to play the dvd to prevent image ripping.

This is so damn easy, download WinDVD and run your DVD, right click and "Take picture" or similar to that, then you'll get a clip board, select: "Save All" thats it and you have the pictures :D

I just did print screen with real player. I took the shot, opened PS and enlarged the image size so the clip image showed than retook a screenshot. I would not suggest my way but it worked. :D

I use PowerDVD and I can't save screenshots by simply hitting prtsc, but I can take a screenshot if I use Fraps, so try Fraps.

click the middle of the bottom of the screen(when in fullscreen mode) to make this show up:
Posted Image
then click the camera button (where the arrow is pointing) to take the picture. It should show up in 'My Documents\Cyberlink\PowerDVD\Snapshot'. I have PowerDVD 5 so I don't know if it works the same way in any other versions.

I'd like to have a program that I could use for more than 30 days. Does anyone know a different program that is free and works?
