theres american trucks in the map 'cos I didnt have any other suitable imperial supply trucks

so that'll have to do until somebody makes me a snazzy truck to replace it with...

Side sponsons arnt possible with the generals coding.. cuz if you have em in the "cannons" on the sides will be able to like twist into the tank and actually shoot things that are on the other side of it..

theres no known way to limit their radius yet..

guess so, as quite some weapons (Comanche helo's for example) have forward firing weapons with a limited arc if i'm not mistaken..

i remember the Alpha's Leman Russ tanks having something similar too??
correct me if i'm wrong here though!

somewhere in the code the weapon turnradius should be able to be defined i hope..

My fav part of the mod was to see 3 Cadian snipers cut into the huge mass of marines and tau heading for them! ... oh err wait.. that's not ingame yet..

Ill just put the whinging and whining aside....sponsons would make tanks awesome but ^^.
Umm, there is a way to make sponsons with a limited arc. Its called a turret weapon i.e. the overlords gatling gun (not to be confused with the comanche's weapon. That is fixed forward in game, the helo makes adjustments to its position to fire it, hence why you see them moving when they fire).
The code used to limit its arc of fire is i.e. :weaponturnradius: 60 ; weapon has a 60 degree turn angle etc.

Just a thought if you change your mind in the future.

the devilfish needs that badly, atm its gun can shoot 360 degrees so its firing through itself, it should be 180 at the very max, even less preferably

Well that will take 2 seconds to fix so yer if they would like me to reduce its ability then its basically easier done than said in this case lol.
