if i have the skin and i have the model, how do i put the skin on the model?

In Renx, you click the checkerboard (material editor0 or just press the "m" key, you need to click texture tab, check off stage 0, browse for your skin, click display and click assign material.
This assumes you have made the uvmap.

ya i modified a legolas skin from the textures folder. its still a dds. right?

texture has to be in tga file format
after some thinking i may add a lil important note .D

texture has to be in tga file format if you want to apply it in gmax, the game will use the dds version of the texture automagically

thanks. hostile, i know u hear this alot, but thank you SO much for your help. i never would have used the material editor and now i know how to see my skins. thank u
