I'm getting a glowing/washed out look on every skin on every unit placed ingame when using totally new units and skins. I'm using default settings on the material editor cause they are just normal skins.

Any clue why this is happening?

I'm not looking to advertise what we have modeled so I'll hold off on that for just now. I'm sure if someone has a new model with default setting they must have run into the same problem.

(EDIT) I'll just post it. See how the ship is washed out. When viewed normally in w3d Viewer and such. It looks 10x better.

Any clues?

Maybe you need to darken the skin file. The skins show up way brighter in the game than they look in Renx. If you darken the skin up a bit, it might look a little better.

i think your tga is maybe in 32bit instead of 24bit ;) , or, if u use a tga, be sure that u clear the alpha channel,

thats all i can think off .D never ran into that kind of problem ;)

I'd say the same as nickthemenace mentioned.

Well what is Right? I used default, consulted with Kelso, he uses default. I darkened the skins and they have this blue glowing effect. If someone can provide was is right I may be able to correct it.

Have you tried different maps? Also, what detail level are you running? Both of these may have something to do with it. If it is glowing blue then that is more than likely from the lighting on the map you are playing.
