ok, I know how to edit the csf but I'm having problems with editing the str file.

what I've done is d/ld vaps hero mod and have installed it manually, I mean extracting his .big and plugginf the files in myself

now I'll take an example, his haldir's leadership ability

ACONTROLBAR:Haldierleadership
descr blah blah blah

ACONTROLBAR:ToolTipHaldirleadership
descr blah blah blah

ok, how do I enter that in a str file, and second do I need the original game csf+the str file in my lang/english folder?

any help is always appreciated, I'm just so used to doing it in csf but of course you end up with APT:Null issues in the options menu which is an annoyance. :) I'm a perfectionist unfortunately

try that method.. it works for me.
Can't remember if I said but It just goes in your BFME\Data folder (it'll automatically replace the original)

I thought it was "means to"...

Do we have str stuff up on the main site? *runs to go check* ... Can't find anything about it. Maybe you could have it highlighted somewhere near the csf stuff; don't want people making tonnes of csf entries before realising its publishing complications.

But you can simply save as str fle anytime you want. It's like telling people they can save in microsoft word. I assumed people would be smart enuff to see the save as button. :)

(EDIT) fixed quote, better?

I see, you don't rename it. You resave as from CSF editor. Better yet, just download pabtyfs copy and add your entries.
