Basic Skinning Help

I have the DXT_Tools, but I can't work out how to use them, if anyone could help I'd be grateful.

maybe I'm going about this wrong. The files needed for the model are in .w3d and .dds formats. The .dds formats are for the textures, yet the W3D editor reads them as .tga files. How do I change them so they are .tga files?
Also, what version of Adobe Photoshop do you use? Mine isn't particularly new, and claims that the file "may be damaged or in an unsupported format". Maybe that's the problem....

There's probably another way to do it, without XCC, but I never needed it

u dont have to change them to tga, just google search "photoshop .dds plugin"
