First off kids whos parents are complaining about this shouldn't even be playing SA, second wtf is wrong with the parents ??

I mean kids are gonna see porn sooner or later! And Im pretty sure that the guys who check out the HC mod are like 12+ ! So wtf is the problem? Sex is the way of life, they learn about it in school, and... well...they'll do it sometime soon too.

anyways, the state of california is now suing rockstar for distributing pr0n to minors. i heard that on the news and i was like, wtf? i went to buy the second edition (this was the edition that had all of the pr0n code removed) and i still had to get my parents permission, so if you were considered a minor and your parents let you buy the first edition (the one with the pr0n scenes or whatev), then it's no different than them letting you but pr0n at a pr0nshop. the thing that really gets me is that this wasn't intended to be enabled - somebody out there decided to come up with their own code to do this, which breaks all ties at all to the EULA that basically modding = don't du us, this is your doing. also, i believe that some sort of reverse engineering was required to find out that this code existed, another illegal doing by the creator of the patch. it is they who should be sued, not Rockstar - yeah yeah it souldn't have been there in the first place, but they got rid of it and didn't intend for this to ever get to the public, and if it did, was to be done so illegally, which should free Rockstar of all responsibility, but apparently laws don't apply when politics and big money are involved.

The code was there, but they removed access to it. It actually TAKES a modder to unlock it. They locked it out for a reason.


They were also trying to ban The Sims 2 because somebody made naked skins.

i dont think GTA:SA should be banned.i havent played it yet but i want to!! so i didnt see them make such a deal with the other titles GTA:Liberty City, GTA:Vice City just shows how one thing can piss people off,

The fact that people want to ban San Andreas makes me think they don't know what a mod is. If we need to ban San Andreas we need to ban every single game on the market, because porn mods can be made for any of them.

Once again, proof that lawyers suck. If anything related to gaming should be banned, it should be sueing a game company for game content. I hope Jack Thompson reads this.

Or to put it another way, I can download a thousand mods that'll make game characters run around in the nud. Should that be taken into accoutn when deciding a game rating? Heck no. It's not like there's anyone telling me I have to download said patches, is there? Hence I don't downlaod them. Double standards is what it is. Sex is totally natural, yet it's considered to be unsuitable to appear in games. Killing people with man-made weapons is unnatural and ilegal but it can get into a game considered suitable for kids?

This post sums it up, if shooting people isn't adult than what is. Adults who make these descisions need to get off thier high horse and just realise...just cause the law determined 18 is an adult doesn't mean it's true. I've seen 12 year olds carry themselves with more maturity than some 30 year olds. Maturity lies in the mind of the beholder, not some magic date one achieves by being alive 18 years.

I could rant about this for pages but not to torture you all. It pisses me off that the US writes off anyone under 18 as stupid or unable to accept und understand adult concepts.

A 16 year old girl can have an abortion without parental consent. With parents permission kids as young as 16 can join the military and die for thier country. IDIOTS, the whole lot of them. Hypocrits beyond belief.

I agree, Im under that age limit. But verry close and it's odd how we can be alot smarter and understand adult concepts that they dont even understand.

Agreed, it's hypocritical. If you're 10 you can easily go on the net and search for pr0n sites using Google. They usually don't check for age. The US government should obviously get their ideas straight and stop being so hypocritical. It's not like when you turn 18 you suddenly change a lot in just one day. Maturity depends on the person. Some people mature faster than others. I know people who are younger than the age of 18, who act more mature than some of the people at my uni, being 19-20.

It's like 'n00b' or 'teh'. Some sort of internet tradition. 'teh' and 'pron' started as typos. The 00 come from 1337speak, a 'language' sometimes used on the internet, with numbers (and other characters, not from our alphabet, like \ / | ) replacing characters. The 0 replaces an o, the 4 an a, the 3 an e, the 1 an i. Like 'noob' can become 'n00b' (or even '|\|00|8' or something), 'the' could be spelt as 'teh' or 't3h' or '73h' or even '73|-|'. If you're a 1337 h4x0r, you can unlock it on PS2, and possibly Xbox (only the copies from before the release which took hotcoffee out of the code). I think it was Gamespy who spent hours with the USB keyboard, eventually unlocking it on the PS2 version. That was the smoking gun that killed Rockstar's story that the modders had made it, and it was not in the game orignally. Turns out it was buried pretty deep in the PS2 version, and it took a USB keyboard and one of those ultimate codes discs to unlock it. And several hours, and undoubtedly plenty of donuts and cups of coffee.
