well i have the carrier moving Delta24US.

were just have one smaller error, ill look at it tonight, and see if i can resolve it....i have a few ideas :lol:

Why dont u modify the carrier that was in USA campaing mission 2 to build aircraft and to defend itself with patriot missiles? That is the most simple way i know to get a carrier to the other missions. It has to ( if added) build the aircraf that it launches.

What planes should we have on the carrier? Remember most planes can not take off or land on a short enough runway. Usually, the best way to go is with a small aircraft or swing wings.

Someone showed a carrier variant of the Raptor in concept art back in Air Units. It had swing wings. Let's go with that and give it better ground strike abilities.

The Hornet is a Navy plane. Let's use it here.

The Switchblade has swing wings. That would make it a perfect carrier plane, especially since it can fil any role.

The JSF can take off and land vertically. It is hard to beat that for a carrier. Either that or the amphibious carrier.

Basically for game purposes though, I believe that the carrier should act as a forward air base in the game, and should support the land based aircraft, not end up being a replacement for multiple land based aircraft, and airfields, in the game. With that in mind I would suggest that the carrier be limited (via build limit) to 6 JSFs (or F-18s), 2 medical Pavehawks for pilot SAR ops, and 6 Sea Devils for air transport/cav ops.

The JSF that Vanguard had before would be just fine for the carrier. No extra work for him on that one. They weren't as powerful as the Raptors in the game. Making the Raptors still the premier air-to-air aircraft of the game.

As it should be in my opinion. Especially for a mod called 'Project Raptor'. don't you think? :lol:

I would say more than six.

BTW, you could have a carrier like the one in RA2 that's off scale but still a carrier. After all, I don't recall the Ranger's head being bigger than teh Raptor cockpit.

Generals isnt a bad game, otherwise we wouldn't be modding it because not enough people would have it. I know it's unrealistic, but if it were the entire map would be vaporized the first time someone launched aa nuke. (also, no one could afford more than one Raptor)
