Is it possible to make lasguns more like laser weapons rather than starwars blasters? e.g.
Using the laser fire from C&C Generals laser turrets and tanks.
Make lasguns etc. have a 'crack' like noise.

it is quite easily do-able
i'll have to see how much system resources it eats up doing this
what do you guys think (team)??
(I suppose fluff and physics wise it'd be more realistic

Tell me how you would like to see the lasgun effect then?
a beam or a bolt, or nothing at all apart from a muzzleflash?
(personally i liked the Beta1.0 lasguns with their red translucent beams alot)
the sound is pretty well ok i guess... it fits to the gun..

i found another pic of a lasgun firing in the same codex and i believe there is one in the 40K rulebook aswell somewhere, but i'm not sure of that.
If anyone is interested, i'll load them up

well i've given the lasguns lasers and spherical muzzle flashes
looks much better actually
and physics wise it's much more realistic

the firing bone needs moving on all the guardsmen incidentally as the laser is coming out below the barrel..
