how are you going to implement aircraft into your mod? are they going to be generals powers (this would be simmiler to the tabletop game) or are they going to be used as they are in the C&C generals ie buildable airfilds?

they are at the moment, used as generals power units. Chances are you won't see directly controllable planes in Only War... except for, perhaps, certain VTOLS like the vulture/valkrie in campaigns...

as you said it's more like the tt game.. and more realistic to not control em directly methinks:P besides, a realistic airfield would be... huge..

and how will air to air combat work will you be able to call in some barracudas or lightnings which fly around in a circle and attack enemy planes?

possibly, they might be used i nthat way, as a temporary unit to protect your stuff which flies off, or something yo ucan control indefinately....

suffice to say,. I'm not entirely sure as I haven't finished the campaign. Rest assured, however, that they WILL be much more important in OW2 :)

Well, it sure is fun to airstrike on a moving enemy armor instead to a called-in airstrike for stationary objects. :p

I think that air transports with light anti-infantry weaponry that will carry tanks or infantry should be the only available air craft and can be created from the vehicle factory. the anti-infantry weaponry would be like a turret or turrets, like the covenant dropship from halo and halo 2.
