I have intensively playtested The Battle for Middle-Earth 2, and came to the following conclusion. It.Is.Not.Enough. The Elven side has only 5 units, while if EA had spent a bit more time, the variation could have been much bigger. Well, I guess this is were we come in.

EA's unit list:

Lorien Swordsman
Lorien Archer
Mirkwood Archer
Mithlond Sentry
Rivendell Lancer

Visions unit list:

Lorien Swordsman
Lorien Marchwarden
Mirkwood Archer
Woodland Sentry
Elite Marchwarden
Mithlond Sentry
Rivendell Lancer
Rivendell Sentinel
Mirkwood Raider
Galadhrim

The Lorien Swordsman remains mainly unchanged, for early game cheap infantry purposes. The Lorien Archer gets replaced by the Lorien Marchwarden, who instead of heavy armor can receive a Stealth upgrade, allowing them to be stealthed anywhere when standing still and idle. The Mirkwood Archer remains the same, except for a thorough reskin and remodeling. The Woodland Sentry is a single, powerful unit wielding a spear or bow. The Elite Marchwarden can be purchased only in the new Elven Mallorn Flet building, along with the heroes Rumil and Orophin, brothers to Haldir. A basic outlay:

Elven Mallorn Flet

Produces Elite Marchwardens as a single unit, also gives you acces to Rumil and Orophin.

Rumil - 800

lvl 1: Bow/Sword toggle
lvl 5: Golden Arrow
Deals a moderate amount of damage to enemy heroes
Lvl 10: Leadership
+50 damage to Elite Marchwardens

Orophin - 800

lvl 1: Bow/Sword toggle
lvl 5: Elven Cloak
Orophin blends in with the environment when standing still.
lvl 10: Leadership
+50 defence to Elite Marchwardens

The Mithlond Sentry and Rivendell Lancer would remain the same, except for the usual reskin of course. The Mirkwood Raider would be a light cavalry unit, quite weak and mainly for scouting purposes. The Galadhrim from the movie and B4ME1 will be available only through a summon, to symbolize them coming to help during the Battle of the Hornburg. Some powers:

Elven Might - 15 pts

Summon (a weakened) Galadriel, Celeborn, Rumil and Orophin to the battlefield.

Aiding of the Elves

Summon 3 battallions of Galadhrim to the battlefield, lvl 2.

The Rivendell Sentinel.. hmm I have yet to think of stuff for him.

Post something more than just nice, constructive critiscism is always welcome.

Anyways, my guess is is that there are 3 different variations or 2 of them are Orophim and Rumil respectively?

No Rumil and Orophin are being worked on. Those are just variations.

Not to be rude, since I do not fully know their function, but you have 4! units who seems exactly the same.
Lorien Marchwarden
Elite Marchwarden
Mithlond Sentry
Rivendell Sentinel

Tell me the difference between these units, except slight changes in HP, armour and damage.

The Lorien Marchwarden solely uses a bow. The Elite Marchwarden are elite, can switch weapons, and are plain powerful. The Mithlond Sentry is a spearman, anti-cav. The Rivendell Sentinel is a early game scout, like the Raider.

Then please come up with more original names... Make it elvish or anything, just don't name them the same thing, looks awful. Just somethign simple, like... Elmegil (Star+sword) for a swordman for instance. Just dont name units the same thing.

Well, I sure like the idea... :p But it would be quite, odd, having some elven units in elvish, and some in english... To make that work out really good you'd have to give ALL the elven units elven names...

And since most people don't know elvish too good, It'll be quite hard to understand what kind of unit your about to recruit... ;) Well, that could be fixed with a nice little description of course... ( :p )

Looks good, but I don't think that the scout units are really neccesay. If you are going to scout an area, I would just use the Foresight power or something like that.

Maybe that Rivendell Sentinel will be 2 sword fighting elite single made unit like berseker? It would have very big attack and Blademaster AoE...it couldnt be trampled or attacked from behind....it would be very expensive though...like mini-hero...maybe even 1500

No, I'm quite sure really did mean "Rivendell Sentinel". Like the one in Matias's first post.

Ermm Tomat? You are confusing the Rivendell Lancer with the Rivendell Sentinel..

edit: I believe that the Galadhrim heavy armor is obsolete because we can piece a better one together with EA's skins. Do post your light armor one, I really love it.
