The Peace Pipe Topic

I declare and nominate myself the Arbiter of this thread, since I'm not the one who's fighting over stuff
Here's how this works. Everyone posts here saying they want to say something.
I offer the Peace Pipe to each person in turn. They then say their piece.
Nobody else posts. If they do, it gets deleted.
I expect Crave, Blaat, Spence and Ali to observe this and enforce it when I am not around.
There will be no arguments or counterarguments until the Peace Pipe is passed. There will be not one inflammatory word spoken.
If there is, I'll delete the post, and you will have to not only wait your turn, but start again from scratch with the piece you wanted to say.
Simple enough. We will get past this bickering one way or another. And this is one way.
The holder of the Peace Pipe must say everything they want to say in one post. They may not get a chance to hold the floor for awhile.
Right. Who wants to speak?
(EDIT: If Smooth wants to speak, he got the floor first. I removed the posts as I heard he was in Germany or something, and might not get a chance for a bit. However, until he gets back to me the floor is open)

But I have a slight, teeny tiny itty bitty problem with it:
It'll take two God-damned centuries to get any-bloody-thing done. And even then people can include flames and trolls in their posts while they have the pipe.
With that said, I'd like to announce I am among the world's most impatient people.
ATM, I feel a slightly simpler, and more efficient solution, is the banning of OOC posts from IC threads, and relocating them to dedicated OOC threads. If someone flames or trolls, this helps to:
A. Not interrupt the flow of gameplay.
B. Ability to respond faster, since it is in a single thread.
Once there, they can easily be deleted/split-topic'd, allowing for easier control and management of such duties. Repeated offenders, of course, get a suspension or some other punishment I'll dream up.
Signing on to MSN now to discuss a solution with you.

I agree this is a slower method. And the flames can be included, but then the post will be deleted. Or I'll delete anything flamy.

Yes, it's childish. But no more so than all this bickering.
You actually made it worse for yourself by 'I'm not asking for the floor, I'm taking it by force, you lose'.
Either do it right, or don't do it at all.

Blodo has the floor...he asked me over MSN. Take it away.

Anyways, what about the people who mix IC with OOC as is the case in most posts here recently? As in, I don't think a whole topic related to telephone bills, or how most players have been going rounds with ridiculous posts such as 'Millions laugh.' or 'We will bomb you.' accounts for RPing. I mean come on those war threads have had almost half of their posts dedicated to how everyone will bomb everyone and how everyone laughs at threats. This is supposed to be RPing not a one-liners night. If anyone wants it done like that just go play Civ over the internet or something.
ARGUMENT FROM CREATION, a.k.a. ARGUMENT FROM PERSONAL INCREDULITY (I)
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

Anyway, I'm rather sick of the amount of unrealistic actions of certain members, Hostile questions me and Torns actions of conquering a country but he does not question the terrorist attack on one of Pyths train which didn't derail the train? Crazy talk. Then the amount of troops and units people have, I think as a prerequiste before your country takes action you should detail the amount of ships, tanks, planes you have so you cant suddenly say I have a gizzilion more tanks or men. Sensible numbers as well that must be vetted my Spencer. Then you must take losses, like you can't say the paint was only scratched on the tank yet over 900000 of my enemies died in sudden explosion.

I've decided on what we're gonna do to solve this:
Phase One: Step up moderations via forcibly editing out flames. Repeated offenders will get a warning handed out to them.
Phase Two: If phase one fails, all OOC chatter in IC threads save for small notes or questions attached to IC posts is banned. A dedicated OOC thread will be created for all OOC discussions. This thread will be heavily monitored and moderated.
Phase Three: Peace Pipe as described above. (I want to interrupt the flow of gameplay as little as possible first.)
Sound good? I hope so because you have no say in the matter. War on!

It is quite difficult to continue without bickering when, all over the board, there's one person consistently calling you an idiot and implying that you cannot read, and another polluting threads all over the entire forum saying that you were the first person to violate the rules and of course it's totally your fault. I think we all know exactly what I'm talking about. It all started with me simply informing someone that they can't have 100% military experience and 50% conscription, and I got flamed for it, being told it wasn't my business. Now, because of a simple remark utilizing observations from previous posts instead of a full out flame, pyth is running around posting that I have violated the rules not only in CCW, but in the Think Tank too.
Now if you're all so wise, explain to me where I went wrong. I'm just not seeing it.

Now, allow me to voice the problems I have here:
First, numbers.
I've played NS for a while. NS is not... realistic in... any way shape or form. But I can gather that the 5 Rods of God sattelites and 2 Orbital Flare Guns I had in NS is ridiculous-- I'm not an idiot. Now, you see, it's just that I am no military scientist. I don't know much about how many tanks the US has or anything. So I suggest we relax on the numbers thing a bit-- Don't allow things UTTERLY RIDICULOUS (I agree my 6,000 I had in NS was ridiculous and you can quote this) but don't go after people for not knowingg the US can only support (insert number) and that they should only have (insert number).
For example, USAirways. He has a top-notch air force only below Crave. But I don'tt think his navy or army is the best either. So I figure we traeat it like you have power points or summat and spend them on AirForce, Navy, or Army. So that we can keep crap balanced but not be the Gestapo.
(Oh, and I need to apologize for my behavior involving that earlier and the fact I got a little... well, angry a little while ago. SPence, most of this apology is directed at you.)
EDIT:
Perhaps he doesn't like ytou because yo ucalled him a Nazi? That isn't postive, you know.

A point system is a good idea, we can try using it in the sequel.

Sorry for not having the pipe, but since it's my RPG I assume I don't need the pipe.

My turn on the floor.
I do think we're making mountains out of molehills here. Quite a lot. I do agree that not everyone knows much about the number of men or tanks or whatever a nation might reasonably be expected to have. I can understand where pyth is coming from there.
Though I can also understand where Spencer and Torn are coming from. It rather ruins the game where everything you do is 'omg i will bomborz yoo' and threaten nations all the time. I would like to see people being more level-headed and mature about their nations' behaviours. Belka is the Evil Empire, but I didn't go declaring uberwar on everyone right away. I tried to seal a couple of trade agreements and such, even though I knew it would come to war.
People complain about the numbers, yet nobody said a word to me. Had they said a word, I would have pointed out the plotline I had envisioned. Rest assured my army won't be as big come CCW2. Nor will my nation, probably. So, I wouldn't be so bothered as others are about the size of the armed forces. I would be more bothered by uberteching.
I feel people should stop getting so wound up about it all. Refereeing solves the godmod problems...in the end, I should have every bit as much chance as killing a Wyvern as, say Torn or anyone else. Just as Ali's recent ship designs are as easy to kill as mine, or Xeno's.
Yes, there may be one definite weakness to each side, but that would be all the difference.
But on my final words, it's a GAME. We do NOT need to fall out about it all. I don't want to see any more shouts that someone godmods every 2 minutes. If you have a grievance, post it somewhere, or PM me or Crave.
