DESERT DOORWAY DEFENDERS
A little map I've been working on for the past few days. Please feel free to ask any questions about the map, which will be the first AOD style map I've made.
A little info you ask?
Well, ok
1. The map is AOD, so you need to keep the enemy away from an area, in this case, the desert.
2. You start out with 2 bases, and only one has an airfield.
3. You have to fight your way through 3 types of waves, Non Combat, Combat, and Heavy Combat. Each of these uses a different strategy that you will have to counter in a certain way.
FAQ
Q: How many waves are there?
A: There are 5 waves, a mini boss, another 3 waves, and the boss, adding up to 10.
Q: What determines how I lose?
A: How many waves have made it to the desert. Only 2 can reach it without you losing.
Q: What happens if I don't lose any chances at all?
A: A little secret happens, but if you don't win there, you lose.
Q: Why are you making this map?
A: Because I'm tired of all those AOD maps that many players can't play (or beat alone) due to the fact that they can't play online for some reason.
Q: Is this map for PR only?
A: Yes. PR is the only mod with the units in it I need to make it challenging, yet possible to beat at the same time.
Q: What's AOD mean?
A: AOD stands for Art Of Defense, where an enemy attacks relentlessly for a few minutes, trying to get rid of a specific unit or reach a certain area.
Q: What are there 3 types of waves like?
A: Well, a Non Combat wave will simply try to get to the desert, while a Combat wave will be created a few seconds before a Non Combat wave and try to distract you by fighting you. A Heavy Combat wave will do both, but a LOT better than if a regular Non Combat wave and a regular Combat wave were put together.
Q: When will the map be ready?
A: Quite soon.
Q: How soon?
A: Soon, ok?
Q: Final Question. When will the next demo be available?
A: Right now.
If that didn't answer all of your questions, feel free to ask them in this topic.
