Only just found the dev logs for the ow1 AI in the OW2 boards now.
Keep going Cal, you'll get there!! I'm so impressed, can't wait for a working version of the AI, a complete version of OW!

You might want to check it again, just added like 5 new screenshots...
In case anyone don't know, my dev log in the OW2 forums has shit on the AI in it (Marcjs and Boomer have logs too.)

I'm making the marine AI slightly more intelligent than the others though, since its units are more expensive, it needs to be more careful with them...
For example... The Cadian AI builds a team, and attacks with it. If the team gets inside the enemy base, it is considered a success and the priority is increased (i.e. the AI compares priorities, and that team will be more important since it succeeded in attacking.) If the team is killed before it gets into the enemy base, it is considered a failure.
So, if it sends out a squad of guardsmen and a squad of russes and the enemy player has loads of anti tank crap, chances are the russes will die, but the guardsmen will do much better, so the AI will prioritise building guardsmen because they work.
With the Marine AI, I've taken it one step further... It looks at what units it has lost and builds teams accordingly... so, if it loses loads of rocket soldiers, chances are they weren't killed by tanks, but by infantry. So it'll build predators, which kick infantry ass.
edit: The Holy Inquisition purges all spelling-heretics... gotta be careful...
