http://en.wikipedia..../Counter-Strike probably has some info. I have CS and CS:S, played them both but not long or often and I'm not great at it. It has to do with my speakers and my ears as well. My speakers plus my own ears and brain make me unable to tell if someone's approaching from left or right. In the old dialup times (when I had CS, not CS:S) I found it very annoying, everytime I wanted to join a server I had to wait 15 mins because it had to download all shitty added sounds and whatever and when you're finally in it lags a lot. And the first time I wanted to play after I just had bought the HL1 Generation pack (that includes CS) they wanted me to download a 300 MB update (on a 64 kbps connection).. You kinda need broadband for this. I haven't played it in a long while, it's not bad but hard for me. CS:S has a wonderful bot addition so you can play vs bots which you can set your own difficulty to, or play with people vs bots with knives. Playing games online isn't really my thing, I prefer offline vs AI.

http://en.wikipedia...._Condition_Zero

Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (abbreviated CS: CZ or just CZ) is the Single player version of the Multiplayer game, Counter-Strike. The game was released in 2004 using the aging GoldSrc Half-Life engine. CS: CZ also features a multiplayer mode, which mostly features updated character models, textures, maps and other graphical tweaks.

I don't have this game so can't tell from experience. Sounds interesting though as I prefer singleplayer over multiplayer.

Hehe i got info from Wikipedia.

Quake engine heavily updated to make HL > CS was made a mod (expansion) for HL > CS: CZ came by as individual game > Source + WON engine made for HL2 > WON switched to Steam > Source + Steam engine given to CS and made to CS: Source.

Now i get it.

CS:S is very good, so is CZ, 1.6 sucks.

Actually you are wrong there Verr... 1.6 was the pinicle for a long time. And its still good now. I've personally not played it for a long time but it is still good.

CS:CZ wasn't too bad. More of an attempt at making 1.6 better. Which didn't really work too well. It also included a Single Player campaign, which is its biggest feature.

CS:S is by far the best one out there. Although i don't believe it uses the source engine to its full capability. Which is a shame tbh. But it looks and plays really well. Close to how 1.6 was just with better graphics :p

People are simply CRAZY about CS 1.6 here. If you go the the arcade in a shopping mall you can play CS 1.6 on LAN with others... guess the price...

50 cents an hour!

and they're ALL experts. like me.

I kill bots so easily on CS 1.6. even on expert mode..

i went tired of CS 6 years ago really, there are other games out there that is alot more innovative these days, like the bf series. played cs:s a few hours when i had hl2 installed, but since no good mods have come out for hl2 yet i guess theres no reason to reinstall it anytime soon.

Yeah i have to agree with you there duke, i've found that the CS community has really gone downhill over the past year or so. People take the game far too seriously and all the fun has gone out of playing it...

Im moving onto BF2 once i get my new GFX Card :p

CS:S gaming is pretty good, but repetitive

CS:S has too many annoying whiny types, and racist types.

New generation of CS-ish FPS is coming my brothers and sisters! Go here http://www.sf.in.th. Great game, possibly better than any CS. Gameplay = w00ts.

hasn't played America's army. anyone who plays America's army, rules.
