Eldarion's Skins

Yes, significant portions of the skins are EA's, including a good bit of CAH stuff (Legolas, in particular, though I'm planning to make some changes to him). As somebody here said once, I see no point in redoing what has already been done well. I simply changed what I didn't like about EA's skins...such as getting rid of all the bright yellow armor, adding sleeves to the Mithlond units, etc.
Skins that I am already planning on changing:
- Legolas (face, armor)
- Celeborn's Armor (hairy ears)
- Thranduil's Robes (for different model)
- Cirdan (big nose)
Skins that I am planning on redoing completely:
- Rivendell horse skins
- Lorien horse skins
That list is so people do not needlessly point out problems that I am already aware of and planning on fixing . Other than those few things I listed, please comment ! Constructive criticism would be extremely helpful for me - I want to improve.

like Celeborn and Cirdan
I don't know much about elven clothing ,, Is the white and blue two different clothes around his neck ?
Cause then you need to add shadows there ,, if not ,, ignore this

And as for Celeborns ears, thats partly my fault, as i never had time to remap the model.

So, Argolis, I don't need to redo Celeborn's armor skin to fix the ears? You can fix it? Phew !
And I've got my computer up here at boarding school now, so I'll keep working on some skinning on the weekends and such, when I have time. There are still a few things in the Elven faction need doing, and then I'll start on the Dwarves - I have some ideas already . Afraid I won't be able to send you the stuff 'til Christmas break, though (Dec. 15) :( .
Oh, yeah, that was me, Eldarion .

1: Im not a skinner, so I can't critisize your work.
2: I knew that you would take up skinning someday, and when you did you would be AWESOME at it. AWESOME WORK MAN!!!

Anyway, I've done an entirely new skin for Thranduil - some nice green robes with golden battle armor underneath, showing through the open front of the outer robe. I'll be doing something similar with leather armor as a reskin for EA's model, to be used as a 3000-year-younger Thranduil in the LA version of the mod .
I've done a new skin for the Gondolin Avengers in the WOTR Rivendell minifaction, and I believe their armor is one of my best and most original skins yet - silver armor on blue fabric, like the old skin. I'm pretty sure it took more work than any other skin I've done so far .
I felt Glorfindel deserved a bit more than what I'd given him so far, so I made a golden version of the Gondolin Avenger's armor for him. He looks much more the powerful Elf lord now . I also changed his face.
I've done horse skins for all the Rivendell units and heroes. The Knights' and Lancers' horses are unique from each other, and both have random colors. I made some slightly different versions for Elladan and Elrohir - their horses' armor and...don't know what you call a cloth thrown over a horse's back under the saddle...will match their own armor and robes. Likewise with Glorfindel - I did an entirely unique horse skin for him, which matches his armor in what I'm beginning to think of as a First Age style.
Finally, I've begun work on a reskin for the Dwarf Guardian, using what is either a CAH skin or one of EA's unused (but much better) unit skins.
My next projects: finishing the Guardian and reskinning Legolas...again. His was the first skin I finished, and I definitely feel I can do better now...especially on the face. I'll also be making some changes to his clothes and completely redoing his armor skin, as a leather version of Thranduil's new armor.
I'll post pics of this stuff as soon as I get a chance to send the skins to Argolis...which probably won't be for about 3 weeks . Hope your responses to the new stuff will be as favorable as those to the stuff I've already posted .

(I'm aware of the messed-up mapping on this one's chest, so no need to point it out)
Constructive criticism would be very welcome. I'm always looking for ways to improve .

Also, the Lossarnach looks pretty fat to be a warrior
your best work is the Ringlo Vale that shield looks so realistic in my eyes
*non-shield now* you might wanna make the non-armored version more lighted cause it's to dark..

I think you could make them all look alot more ....dirty and desaturate the colour as lauri said.

Will do .well, for the Lossarnach and Pinnath, you could desaturate the clothing
I should point out that all of the models are either EA's or WOA's (such as that sword by Feanor). I only do the skins. The Lossarnach guy is fat because he's using EA's Rohirrim model, which is pretty fat. I'll have to ask Argolis to slim him down a bit .Also, the Lossarnach looks pretty fat to be a warrior
I think the lighting is just an issue in the W3D viewer, since I know that the skins are the same brightness.your best work is the Ringlo Vale that shield looks so realistic in my eyes
*non-shield now* you might wanna make the non-armored version more lighted cause it's to dark..
I'll do that.btw loose the gold sword I modelled for the soliders of minas tirith it does'nt really go on the ringo vale dudes a more sliver dirty colour would be better...
I'll do that too. Hmm...I have a metal-mottling brush, now I'll have to make a mud-spattering brush .I think you could make them all look alot more ....dirty and desaturate the colour as lauri said.
Thanks for the input .
