First thing you need to do is to go to this site and download the worldbuilder manual if you haven't done so already and read it. Here's where you can get a copy:

http://www.ea.com/of...der.jsp?state=6

Here's what you need to do:

1.) Once you have downloaded it. Open the worldbuilder manual up to page 25.

2.) You'll see a picture of a toolbar. Look for the 'place objects' button. See it? That's what your looking for on the toolbar. Find it, and click on it one time.

3.) Where your object properties box was, it should now show a list of sides. Click on the 'Civilian' side in that box.

4.) A new list of options should now appear under the word civilians. Look for and click on the word 'structures'.

5.) A huge list of structures in alphabetical order will now appear below the word structures. Scroll down until you start seeing structures that begin with the letter T.

6.) Now look for structures that begin with the letters 'Tech'. These are your tech structures. Click on one of them and move your mouse back over your map.

7.) Find a spot on your map where you want to place this object, and click on the left mouse button one time.

8.) Congratulations you have just placed your first object.

9.) Head on over to http://www.cncmaps.com/ and about half way down the page on the right hand side, you'll see some buttons for video tutorials on how to make a map. I highly recommend you watch these great videos.

10.) Then go to http://cncmaps.net/ where they have all kinds of map builders over there from beginners to advanced map makers that are ready and willing to answer most of your questions about map making. They are a very valuable resource of information to all levels of map makers.

All I get on the Zero Hour worldbuilder is the Tech Airfield.

In Project Raptor the Tech Airfield, Tech Repairbay, Tech Powerplant, and the Tech SAM site are the only tech structures added to the the regular tech items (Tech Oil Derrick, Tech Refinery, etc...) in the game. If all you see is only the Tech Airfield and none of the regular tech structures in that list, that Generals/Zero Hour had such as the Tech Oil Derrick and Tech Hospital, then you may want to uninstall and reinstall the game because it sounds like you may have a serious problem with the original game that needs to be addressed before you build your map.

When I clicked the button, it says: unable to add object.

The info you sent me is Generals Worldbuilder I need the info for Zero Hour Worldbuilder. ;)

One thing I forgot to mention, and this might be your problem, I don't know, is that when you place your very first object on a new map you are going to get a box that looks similar to this one asking which faction template you wish to use for this object.

Make sure that FactionCivilian is selected and click on OK. Now all Civilian buildings and tech structures will will be placed under the category of PlyrCivilian.

As for the worldbuilder manual. This is the only worldbuilder manual EA games came out with. Most everything still works the exactly the same in Zero Hour. One important exception is that in Zero Hour you use the middle mouse wheel to turn the camera angle on your map while your building your map. In Generals there was buttons on the toolbar for that function. Those buttons have been removed.

So read the worldbuilder manual, and practice with all of the tools BEFORE you go and make your masterpiece of a map. Don't get frustrated. There is a learning curve here. Don't forget to go to the website I mentioned previously, and watch that map making video tutorials. Click on my CnC Maps signature below to go to one of the most helpful Zero Hour mapping sites on the web.

Happy mapping! :thumbsupsmiley:
