I can do rules.ini editing, making maps, and soem other things.
Mostly i really only need help on is single player, art.ini(can do some), and shp's things like that.
And if the mod ends up being good we may need website.
working on one right now......
new countries []
Some new units [x]
over 50 new units []
over 100 new units []
100+ units []
My idea of a mod is something fun but not too easy but not to hard(
easy mode being piece of cake,
medium being a challenge, and
brutal being just plain brutal!
things like that)

This would be for CnC ZH? If you know XML, or are willing to learn, we could use you on the Tactical Warfare team, which will eventually be moving to CnC3. Right now I've only got 2 1/2 team members including my self. Used to have more, but then college started, one joined the Air Force, and some of the others had RL problems. Anyway, my MSN is p_o_d_2_2@hotmail.com if you interested.

You cannot simply make a post and expect people to leap with glee at the thought of helping you. If you're going to start a mod, you need a clearly defined purpose, you need to be able to produce work yourself, and produce examples of what you are capable of. You need to have a well set plan, a detailed description of what you intend to create.
You cannot produce work from thin air, what units will you make?, what will they look like? what will they do?
Do you have even the most remote idea of how much work is involved in placing a single new asset ingame?
Model
Unwrap
Skin
Animation
Export
Art
Code Unit
Code Buttons
Code Weapons
Code FX
Test
Fix the mountain of problems you have discovered
Balance
50 new units will take you years. No fucking joke.
Making a mod is something that you must be committed to and you must spend a long time working on it. Go and make a plan. A good plan, then go learn to do everything that is in that list, because as a team leader you need to be able to pull the team together, help people and inspect and (if necessary) improve the work of team members.
And you ain't gonna get anybody working with you until you can produce something that will get peoples interest, modding is a massive investment in time and people don't want to waste their time.
I was naïve at first, just like you, but I've learn the err of my ways from 3 years of experience. Don't get too involved in an idea right away or you'll end up disappointed, go join another mod team and learn in the process of making. You'll get a feel for being in a team and get used to how these things work, take up Narboza's offer!

First off I plan on going over all that once i get a staff and second i didn't expect it to be a super massive mod that everyone loves. I was ganna have it just for FUN! you know the reason why just about everyone plays videogames. and 50 units wouldn't take years i didn't say they had to be completely new or had to be completely in depth. Gees sick of peole always citisizing everyone....if your interested post if your not SHUT UP!You have no idea do you?

You need to consider a few points if you're going to get anywhere with modding;
1. Whats the mod? Plan what your mods about. If its just a random assortment of new units, serving minimal or already filled roles, gameplay probably won't be all that great.
2. What does it need? Plan what your mod's going to need, and how you can get it. If you're adding 50 units, you either need to find a lot of existing public assets you can use, or learn how to make them.
3. What can you do? Figure out what you can do without help. If you can show people a good and interesting job, they'll want to help. If you sit back and expect everything to be done for you, you'll have much more trouble recruiting.
If you can't plan out what you're doing, you won't get that far, and if you can't accept help when you need it, you won't get far enough to fail from inept planning, and if you can't find the time or effort to plan, let alone all the work involved in physically compiling the mod, then moddings probably just not for you.
Also, moved to a more appropriate place.
EDIT: GAH! Beaten to it

Modding contains lots of work that is not fun, it can be very tedious and frustrating at times, and that's when you need to have the motivation to keep going. I'm trying to help, and like Jeeves said, don't piss on people who are trying to help or you'll get nowhere
You also need to know how to take criticism if you're gonna make a mod. People will lash out, people will go berserk when you decide to change the game you're modding because you discover that EAW is in fact shit and you can't make Leman Russes as cool as you can in cnc3... um... well, that happened to us
I'll say it again, go work on another mod team before you try to make a mod yourself.
(@ Jeeves: Haha! That's the benefits of having no life and watching the forums like a stalker... )

4. i've found someone.
5.and elerium shut up thats like spaming it's annoying and i can take critisism i just don't care for STUPID critisism.(and yea i know i spell critisism wrong).

1. You must be very proud
2. Think he's refeering to planning, which I actually love. If not, debuging
3. Again, easier to recruit if you have something to show, even if its just a snippet of story. Also, everyone mods for fun. You don't waste your days infront of a computer checking over pages of code to find a typo if you don't love doing it
4. You must be very proud.
5. Technically its known as "feedback," its what makes newbs into modders, and makes n00bs grumpy.
6. Good progress, don't forget to backup and test each bit individually as well as in combo. I never do, so when I'm pratting about and get an IE its that much harder to track down
7. If I say yes, will you stop mindlessly abusing the few people to have the patience to try and help?
8. The BBCode for quotes is [Quote=person], and Calamity's a Generals modder. To put 50 new units in Generals would take years

Guys, if he wants to do it his way, let him.
If he get's it to work that way, fine. If not, you have warned him.
End of story.

1.Finally someone who understands why don't you guys be more like him!?!?
2.i'm coming with screenshots soon(as soon as i figure out how)
3. i've got like 30 new units and it's just me i did it in 2 days (i think some might be in other mods but eh who cares my mods got those units +)
4.And who cares about age i mean it's what you can do, plus i'm sure all of you were like me once because i'm learning so jeeees.
And not to mention that me and narboza22 will be starting a mod as soon as i get cnc3.
So for those who think age matters IT DOESN"T!!!

I hope you didn't just take them straight out of other mods without permission, that's something that's very much not tolerated by the vast majority of the modding community.

It would be nice if you too could cease this discussion.
This sort of remarks end up getting responses in line with those already posted.
If you want to post the progress of your mod, go ahead, but if this goes on, I will have to close this topic.

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.
Razgriz intrerpretation
