In the Gundam SEED Series, there is a MASSIVE variety of weapons and a smaller selection of armor.

The Calamity has the big guns that greatly effected battles.
The Forbidden has the Melee and the Armor that also affected battles.
The Blitz has light armor, but can Stelath.
The Buster has apparently Heavy Firepower in comparison to the more commom MS's (Not like Freedom/Justice).

And so on and so on.
I'd like to hear your opinions.

Ahh you just outlined my codeing nightmare. Thank god I took that XHTML/XML corse at university last semester, should come in handy as the game is coded in xml.

But yes there should be plenty of diversity of arms and armor.

well here is a suggestion i thought of. What about some close range units that use beam saber or sword or something like in the seed and seed destiny series.

I think if a MS had a sword, the best thing to do would have em' swap out between that and a gun.

Oh yeah, that would be cool. And also im just curious on the units strengths and weaknesses you have. I cant download the game to see for myself because EaW wont launch properly on my comp (yet FOC works quite well). What I mean is like a TIE is bad vs a Corellian Corvette etc.

to an extent.

it won't be THAT bad, the mobile suits will do a pretty decent amount of damage to ships, seeing as they do in the show, but the mobile suits themselves can get destroyed in one shot, much like the show.

there's an "bug" in the first release which let the EaF have han Solo, dear god, my beautiful ZAFT forces got annihalted.

Rofl, cant beat an angry Wookiee. I think i saw Solo when I watched the mod on YouTube. THAT also reminds me, i found a sweet AMV for Gundam SEED/ Gundam SEED Destiny.

well han solo is hard to defeat with ships and mobile suits. But a laser turrent for the mining stations can do quite a bit of damage to solo.

I believe Bucues have appeared in a screenshot before massacring poor stormtroopers. But its for finite to confirm of course.

Bucues were in the game, then they got taken out for the alpha. At the moment they are slated for ether re-detailing, or re-modeling.

However If the question was how will they function. They will be in standing mode as the default, and they will have the deploy treads option. When you deploy the treads a couple things will happen, they will be slower, they will gain a slight armor enhancement, and the top weapon will funtion like a turret.

Yeah, they're supposed to be faster on the treads. Of course it also depends on terrain, treads would be slower on rocky terrain for example.

But usually, bucues are deployed in open terrain, like desert, tundra, and the like. They uses treads for fast hit and runs, and swtich to standing for manuverability (more flexible movement). Or something like that.

If you've already coded it or something tho, i guess its not that impt enough to change. Cuse you'd have to undo the current one and replace it with a different speed and turn rate mechanic...

hmm Treads has a crushing type movement for melee, while standing mode has a free melee type. the crushing thing can be done easily with small vehicles and infancty, but are there any CC coding yet?
