Actually at a dead run, I'm pritty sure the Bucues are faster without treads. The treads are more stable at high speeds in uneven terrain (i.e. desert sand).

Now keep in mind that when I say slower, I mean slower for a bucue. They will still be pritty damn fast but for balanceing sake there needs to be a stratigic downside to "Treading" bucues otherwise whats the point of haveing them un-deployed.

I dont think anyone wants an army of Bucues that just move like tanks all the time.

Well.....one way to disadvantage treads is to limit the turn rate. I dont think the bucues can turn conventionally in tank mode.

I guess it does depend on the terrain as well. But i think bucues arent actually very fast on legs. The way the legs are angled means that the walking mode is better for jumps, rather than running. Gaia is designed differently, the legs hang lower and are shorter, allowing it to run low and fast. The bucues have legs that can bend lower, giving more force to jump higher and further, but its difficult to push forward only.

Still as i said before, its not that much of a problem. Concessions have to be made when you work within a game, and altering the speed like so is one way to balance it.

They jump more and are more mobile and agile in standing mode, but speed and stability the treads are better.

Anyway, you're right, there is a bucue running fast. But i think the bucues are fast overall, and like i said, depends on terrain aswell. There's a scene at alaska base where a bucue uses its saber and speeds past a linear tank (and slicing it in half) in tank mode, quite a blitz that was.

Including yondaime? alot of ppl miss him cuse he doesnt have a silhouette to fill in, and you have to complete the whole of hero mode to get him.
